magic 3, messiah 2, sniper
 

Hi

I`ve now looked around which chips I can get in my area incl. built into the PS2.

But I can not decide which one I should take when I buy the ps2.

1) Magic 3 can I get everywhere.

2) Messiah 2 is really a problem - I can not get it in my area.

3) Sniper - I do not know what it is ?

Who knows anything about the sniper chip - the shop says it is the same like the messiah2 the only differenz is that it is for the new ps 2 v7 boards.

It's identical looking to the Ripper chip. Find out the boot procedure and see if it's the same as the Ripper. Have you tried contacting charlie_ps2 or dust2dust regarding getting a Messiah 2 from them?

I am not living in the UK so it is not possible to get a messiah.

What bighap means by boot procedure is the buttons to press to boot the game, even though it is direct boot.

Hi folks,

Is the Ripper a good chip? My brother is planning to mod his V4 with this chip. The installer told me that the Ripper chip is based on the Messiah 1 and is even better because some bugs are corrected.

Is the Messsiah 1 chip a direct boot chip? for all pSX and PS2 (including DVD-R(W)?

please a quicq answer because we can still cancel the aoppointment en ordering of the Ripper chip.

Nope it is NOT like the Messiah 2. It is like the original Messiah. Huseyin: tell your brother to get a Messiah 2. Messiah 1 technology is old. The chips cost about the same too. You probably won't be able to play -rws. Most v1-v4 don't. v5-v7 will. Yes it is direct boot.

Bighap:

the guy who's going to install the Ripper in the V4 (I dont really know the guy) refuses to mod with the messiah 2. He thinks it's too risky on a V4 (or he's not capable of installing it !!).

Guys here in Holland ask a fortune to mod with the M2. They are asking 160 Euro including the M2 Eur chip !!

It's not cheap. Who can help my brother with a M2 eur ???
PS: Are you sure that the ripper will not play DVD-R's??

lol the messiah 2 is safe as can be
only reason he wants to fit the ripper is because he has stock of them cant get rid of them :)

He told me he won't take the risk. He's installing 2 M2's in two ps2's of mine, a V5 and a V6. That's not a problem he said...

I dont know anyone hu will do the V4 for a reasonable price in the Netherlands..... :(

everyone charges more for v4 and older they harder to do

but i only charge £10 extra for v4 (no gaurantee on your laesr reading dvdr) but i always check by playing few films on dvdr before i chip it,if it wont play the films then the laser wont play games dvdr without adjustment or replacement

some v4 lasers were good i had neo2.2 in one for over year then upgraded it to a messiah1 first day they were released fitted and stickered by ct,i sold it few weeks ago still playing everything without any problems

I don't live in the UK either, I live in the US and I have both..... The Messiah & Messiah 2....

You can purchase the Messiah 2 from Charlie_PS2 or Dust2Dust...

There are currently only two horses on the track.

Magic 3 which is cheap and has its share of problems but would rate in the 90% for functionality and is excellent value for money.

Messiah 2 which boots everything Magic 3 can't and is more expensive.

I want a good chip and not save Money and having shit then.
I need a good horse for a hard game-track.

I want to play games with Ps2 and they should work without killing the station. And I do not want to be angry about the chip I fixed into the PS2.
But I wouldn`t buy a chip if it expensiver than the PS2 thats my limit.

And I live in Germany and the shops stopped selling the messiah 2 or they do not get it any more.

And I have to lok around who fix it for me into the PS2.

That`s why I asked about the sniper - it is the only chip I can get in my area.

(*I do not want the magic 3 - this one can I get everywhere in my area*)

Maybe Charlie or Dust can provide M2 for you.

In the Netherlands is it not possible to get M2.
I ordered mine from www.divineo.net from the Europe site. I recieved the chips within one week. They are the real Messiah 2 (not clones). Try it yourself.
