though it shouldnt have been because there is still isnt a no-cd yet :confused:

Anyhow, i have been running the game in 1.0 for quite awhile now, checking back every couple of days, but still no sign?

I don't mean to rush or annoy, but is someone working on this?

I give encouragement because many people want this patch :D
and before you say "Well make it yourself then", i can just answer with..i would, if i could :D

Anyhow, keep it up ^^ We are all waiting patiently :p

The Groups dont give a crap about Hitman 2. Live with it.

BTW The other thread was probably closed because it looked as though it was gonna turn into some kind of flaming match.

It should be possible to use Alcohol120% or another capable program to make an .mds file together with an image of the originals and use that for emulation. It's a bit more complicated but it should allow anyone to use the latest patches without cracks and without the cd in the drive. I haven't tried this yet, I'm curious whether this works with securom new.

I'm begining to wonder if it can be patched.

yeah, usually patches come out in about a week. its been ages since 1.01 was released. anywayz, i finished it without 1.01, bloody good game... love the last level....

It's this bloody Securom New, there's all kinds of games that no good crack is out for yet. And seeing the amount of problems they had making a good one for v1.0, it could take awhile. Your best bet right now is to use Alcohol120% or Blindwrite to make an image on your harddisk and include a .mds file with media description data so you can emulate it in Alcohol/Daemon Tools.

but it ain't gonna happen, looks like you & I are the only hitman 2 fans out here

but you can make a working copy from the orig disk - follow instructions above & then v1.01 does run but it takes ages to verify the disk

It's not that the crack groups are not interested in cracking it, it's more that Securom New is a complete b**** to crack.

I'm sure this isn't the end. We're probably just going to have to wait a little longer for games using the new secure.

I'm certain someone will crack the 1.01 exe, the question is when. Though at this rate I'll probably have the game finished before it happens. Thankfully I have plenty of others to keep me occupied while I wait :)

Total bollocks. Just Fairlight trying to get one over Deviance. More likely that comment in the NFO should read we struggled with the update for over a month not 'We sat on this game for about a month'

Well sofar DEViANCE haven't been able to do any special protections at all. FLT did hitman 2 1.00 well before deviance too, so I don't see why they would taken longer over this one.

How do I get this to work???
 

I downloaded the patch and placed it in my Hitman2 folder but I don't get any sound now when I play??? Also I would like to make a copy of the disk and I can't figure out how. I'm using alcohol120 and I set DPM on, it aborts the read at 99% and that's it. I'm new to this stuff so I would really like a hand. Thanks to all the ppl out there sorting this b******t out.:confused:
