I went there to try and download it, but I get this message
"Your browser didnīt send ANY HTTP referer ! Please check if your firewall and webwasher is disabled and any other application that could kill the HTTP Referer ... " Nevermind, it works now |
i installed primo and ran it but it tells me there is no compatible recorder drives i have a
Sony DRU 500a why is it telling me there is no compatible drive i am running windows xp can someone help me on this Thanks in advance |
Try installing the latest pxengine update here.
|
bighap i tried that previously thinking that would work but it didnt i have a dvd drive and a dvd burner(sony dru 500a) but when i go to start up primo it tells me that there are no recordable drives and then after that in the program it only shows my E drive which is my dvd drive ....but doenst show my F drive which is the Burner??
|
Give RecordNow Max a try. It's an better updated version of Primo with less problems than Primo has. It's not free but you can find it for free.;)
|
bighap i just also downloaded and installed recordnow max and it gave me the same result as primo did ...it tells me i have no recordable drives??? i have no idea why it keeps tellin me this nero burning rom and alcohol 120% work fine it is possible that primo and recordnow are not compatible with Sony DRU 500a?
|
 I know of people who use RecordNow Max with their DRU-500a. Ask TylerDurden, he is one of them.
|
okey that was wierd.........i used recordnow max even though it tells me that there is no recordable drive but i just disreguard that and proceed to make a data cd anyways and then it recognized the sony burner so after the burn i try it in 3 of my dvd players(they are all older models though) and they dont work but then i put it in my xbox and it works perfect so is it the dvd players, the media,or ???
ive tried +r +Rw and -R all have worked in my xbox but none in my 3 dvd players? |
What brand media are you using and what are the models of the dvd players you tried?
|
okey i have :
1. Zenith DVC2200 2. Toshiba MW20FM1(one of those dvd and vhs players in the tv) 3. Toshiba SD2109 and i have tried +RW +R Sony and Fujifilm media on them all and all players say not a dvd disk or something of that sort i have also tried Maxell dvd-r on them and the toshiba SD2109 said samething insert dvd disk .........but the Toshiba MW20FM1 and the Zenith DVC2200 both got stuck then went to stop as if it was going to play but didnt...but never said it didnt recognize the disk? btw all of them work in my pc and in my xbox |
Reading about the Zenith, it can't really read anything besides a dvd movie and somethimes not even that very well. Couldn't find info on the tv/dvd unit. There is hope for the Toshiba SD2109. People have had had success using +rw after changing the DVD+RW disk from Mode 1 to Mode 2. Somebody also reported after updating their firmware, it played dvd-r perfectly.
|
ah thanks .....but how do u update the firmware and also how do change the +rw disk from mode 1 to mode 2?
|
Not sure about updating the firmware. You could try Toshiba customer support. I'm guessing you change the mode in the burning software options/prefrences.

Details on Players and firmware
http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php
This is primarily a compatibility list, but it has a "forum" where you can read what others have done, and post your experience as well. They also provide links on hacking the firmware (region free, etc) and where to get firmware updates and how to install them. Good Luck! Raist |
