view 05-11-2002 07:32

there isn't any no-cd for 1.04 at this site
you should at least post something useful when advertising

if the 1st time visitor does find what he wants he will probably come back to the site
thats not my case, since you've lied just to get 1 hit for life...

forgot to mention, this site sux
its ugly and has a terrible interface
even if the no-cd was there it would be difficult to find it

dunno who is running this site, but he/she should get urgent webdesign classes

view 05-11-2002 10:23

now tis there
under the utilities tab
the last time i went to the site there wasnt a 1.04, only the 1.03

You can also get the official 1.04 patch and NoCD Loader here:

www.playground.ru

WhyteKnight 05-11-2002 16:26

Go there if u speak russian! I went and could only find the 1.03 patch and a bunch of links to mail order wives????? I have the no CD crack for 1.04 but I STILL can't find the official patch.

And WCGalaxy doesn't have it either so don't even say it! ...Although I do like the website.

Sooo, Anyone know where to get the patch or know how to patch a newly installed V1.0 WC? I usually d/l patch, apply, then crack for the prior new releases but I don't want to wait for Blizzard to release the patch but I also already uninstalled my ver 1.03 WC. Any ideas? or do I just have to wait...

wcgalaxy 05-11-2002 16:40

omg it is right here
http://www.wcgalaxy.com/modules.php?...ownload&cid=16
I won't post if the website doest has it.

WhyteKnight 05-11-2002 17:00

ok wcgalaxy, you keep linking me to the crack. I need the patch. The 1.04 patch that has not been released by Blizzard and is not on your website. I already have the no-cd crack. i need the patch. You can check your self under patches. You have the 1.03 patch and but not the 1.04. Once again I already have the no-cd crack so pls don't link me to it again. and BTW I really like your site and registered to your forum although your user names can only be 10 characters, so I'm "whyteknigh" Now if you really do have the patch and I'm somehow missing it could you please link the file, not your site. :)

WhyteKnight 05-11-2002 18:18

This is from Palpatine on wcgalaxy

Yeah this works but I still need to get the 1.04 patch...ok well actually i could patch and crack 1.03 and then do they below but REALLY. I'm lazy!
------------------------------

ok,.. heres what i did,.. and it worked.

first you MUST have 1.03 installed w/ the cd crack exe and org files

second run warcraft 3 and go to battle.net,.. itll start the download. WHen it finishes itll ask to restart. DO NOT YET!
ALT+TAB out of the program.

DOwnload 1.04 crack. Take the war3.exe from 1.04 and rename it to war3.org (in dos) , then copy the war3.org to the war III directory and overwrite the old file. Alt+tab back into wc3 and click restart. It will then update and kick you from the program.

Now copy war3.exe from 1.04 crack to your warcraft III directory.
Now 1.04 is installed w/ the automatic patch! Have fun! if it didnt work, you ****ed up somewhere cause ive tried this twice and it works.

WhyteKnight 05-11-2002 20:05

It's all there now

OK, it's there now. But admit it, it was just posted in the last hour or so while I was watching the Wizards game. Thanks though.

GCS 06-11-2002 06:50

@ WhyteKnight

You don't have to speak Russian to get the Warcraft3 1.04 patch and crack from www.playground.ru since they are both on the first page (right panel) in plain English for everyone to read...

... if you pay attention... :p

Engine9 06-11-2002 09:51

i downloaded the 1.04 crack from the Haydenz site, then replaced my alredy patched warcraft with the exe from the archive. The game works fine but when i go to Bnet it says i have an invalid version.
wtf

is there anything i can do? or do i have to reinstall everything?

Wei 06-11-2002 18:42

WhyteKnight 06-11-2002 19:21

wcgalaxy 06-11-2002 23:43

Try to download it from that website. It should work.

GCS 07-11-2002 10:28

Warcraft III 1.04 - Fairlight Releace - LAN Problems??

Greetings all,

I am currently using the Fairlight WarcraftIII 1.04 crack . The crack functions flawlessly during single-player usage of the game. But whenever I try to Create/Join a LAN game (not bnet), no games appear on the Join Screen, and nobody can see the games I create. Has anybody else encountered this same problem? Is this flaw created by the crack itself, or has anybody had the same problems with an Unpatched version of 1.04?

Single Player is great for it's campaigns, but the game truly shines in it's Multi-Playability. I am eager to find a solution to this problem, so if anyone has any ideas/fixes to this problem, please let me know. Thank you.

A fellow gamer,

DKnight2066

EDIT: I used the Official 1.04 Patch, downloaded from Blizzard's FTP Site, to patch my version of WarcraftIII. I mention this just in case it has any bearing to the problem i'm having.

Greetings again all,

Just for those who may have had the same problem I described in my previous post, I finally found a fix for it.

Just to recap: I could create a game with any of my three networked systems, under WarcraftIII, but nobody could see the games I created, so joining became impossible. But any other game worked just fine: Starcraft, WarcraftII-BNE, Baldur's Gate II.....and so on.

Solution: I found out that Warcraft III no longer relies upon the IPX/SPX Protocol for network games, but instead uses TCP/IP, since Windows 2000 and XP seem to prefer it over IPX/SPX (Even though it is still included in those OS's). What you need to do is make sure that everyone has their IP addresses set to the same range.

(Example - 192.168.0.1=First system - 192.168.0.2=Second System.....etc).

Also, even though I wasn't sure it was needed, I went and edited my Windows 2000/XP "Hosts" file and added the appropriate IP Addresses with their corrasponding HostNames.

The "Hosts" file is located within your:

C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc

The file just says "Hosts", with no file extention, so don't add one or else it might foul up Windows.

Below is an exerpt from my "Hosts" file...

Example

"127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.0.1
192.168.0.2
"
End of example

NOTE: The "127.0.0.1 localhost" entry always exists within every "Hosts" file, so just leave it alone.

Even though I never added the actual "Network Names" of each system on the network, adding just the IP Addresses of the systems who wished to Host/Join my WC3 games worked fine.

Final Note: As for you Windows 98/ME users who may have encountered this same problem, my solution should still prove useful, as you can still manually set your IP Address under those operating systems. The only thing i'm not sure of is wether or not Win98/ME use the same "HOSTS" file to manually designate where to send TCP/UDP Packets over a network/internet connection. If someone could check on this and post back here, it would help alot, as I currently do not run Windows98 or ME.

That pretty much sums up my findings. As always, if anybody has questions about what I just described, just post and i'll do my best to help you. Take care all! :)
