technik savedisk
Also erstens ist das hier n englisches Forum, also poste bitte in englisch.
sry for posting german...
how do executing code by coping work? (copy&paste a file and it starts some included code) |
The answer is simple: It doesn't.
|
can u please tell my how it works
(keep it simple!) |
Well, for example there's the ATIP check. Pressed CDs do not have an ATIP, CD-Rs do. If Safedisc finds the ATIP it doesn't let you play.
Bad sectors are also used. The protection program verifies whether the bad sectors are in the right places. Then there's the weak sector protection which messes up the EFM encoder of most CD writers... Theres plenty more, just search. |
thx but thats not what i asked for...
i wanted to know how it can exec code by being copied... |
You cant. At least theres no way i can think of.
Safedisc doesnt work by executing code when its copied. |
possibly it wasnt savedisk.... (?)
but there are protections (files) that increase their size while being copied, but the toc is normal & the original file size is correct. how does this work? |
Are they copied using a cloning program or by copy and paste?
|
copy&paste
|
I have no idea how that would be possible then.
What protection was it? |
thats whats interesting me.
ok, all again: a cd: protected with some cheap protections (dont' know which, tought savedisk) i mark a file (size: fe 500kb) copy&paste it somewhere on my hdd. 5 minutes later (file is still being copied) size of file on hdd: 3gb, not half copied. -> how works that??? |
I must honestly say that i have absolutely no idea how that would work.
Is it a pressed CD or a CD-R? |
original pressed i think (some time ago, dont remember 4 sure)
|
What was the content?
