Ps2 Bootdisc No Need For Modchip
i am selling the new ps2 bootdisc which boots backups without the need for a modchip. It was developed in the far east and on booting makes your ps2 run tthrough a few self tests then says complete . at this point you eject the disk and then put in tour backuo and it will play supports uk usa and jap machines
this is for sale for £20 or $30 please order by emailing cheapdvdfilms**********com payment instructions will be emailed to you dispatched in 24 hrs |
Yeah right Ive been in the ps2 mod buisness for a long time and EVERY single boot disc I have come across never worked. Or only worked for PS1 backups.
I dont trust you! Tyler! |
well that is up to you but i will quickly go through the process of how the disc works
when inserted into the ps2 the playstion one logo comes up as if it is a ps1 game. Then the machine runs about a dozen self tests such as testing memory cards ram etc. you then see a brick wall and have the message saying completed appears you then ejct the boot disk and insert a ps2 backup and it boots fine. dvdr backups do not boot only the cdr backups but just about every game has cdr backup versions of it availible but spanning multiple disks. I think this is a small thing to suffer to not have to risk opening your mavhine to fit a modchip most of which also requiring a disk swap( unless is messiah ect which is very hard to fit and takes about 2-3 hours to do) anyway i can understand your sceptism alot of people dont trust new things but remember no one thought a boot disc for dc would appear but it did then shortly after self booting backups appeared. things dont stand stillAC |
.....Mods requiring swaps.....
Errr....isn't this method essentially a swap?
Besides, alot of people already have a GS2/AR2 for the sake of cracking some games. The swap mods are pretty cheap, and not that hard to install--and most all will boot DVD-R's. The only limitations are against TOC. $30 seems a bit pricey for such a limited functionality, when a v5 US can do it all with a no-solder and GS 2 for $45. I have to agree with Tyler...seems a bit sketchy. Raist |
Even if this disc boots as you say i dont understand how after the swap the backups play since i tried AR, GS on a ps2 with out a modchip and in both cases all backups crashed(freez). I think that the backups still need a patch.

how can you have a boot disc, as that would mean the bad sectors that sony put on to the cds has some how been extracted and the discs would have to be pressed not burned for the ps2 to read it
sounds like bs to me |
OOOOOHH! Good question.
Tyler! |
Sounds to me like this guy is talking about the old Yaroze(?) CD that everyone
and their dog thought could be burned and used to boot when in fact you still needed a Modchip and the program was a Terminal program Development kit to run code off of a computer link. Funny thing, if I remember correctly it did some ram/system tests, said OK and the background was a brick wall and did NOT boot anything!!! I have however been trying to think of a way to boot CDR's without needing a Gameshark,Manager,or RegionX CD. Still needing a chip, what would happen if you put a PS2 EXE file on a PS1 format CD? Say you make a PS1 cd that boots up and loads a PS1 menu program such as the 4in1 or 5in1 CD menu. Instead of selecting a PS1 EXE to boot, you make it to select a PS2 EXE file. has anyone tried such a thing? |
Well this guy hasnt been back in some time. He was just trying to make a quick buck.

Help with PS2 backing up ...
Ok, I have a couple :confused:questions:confused: about backing up a PS2 game. Now I know for the PS2 there is the blue bottom which is the CD-R type for burning .... and DVD based games I think you need a DVD burner and to burn the game ( or game images ) onto a DVD-R CD ... but my question(s) is/are ...... if you don't have a mod ... I heard you can use a swap method ... with the GS or AR2 CD's. Well, my GS PS2 disc broke, my GS PSX archive disc that came along with my GS didn't break however. Am I able to use the same swap method with the PSX disc like I would with the PS2 disc? I figured since it still asks you to insert the CD ... and I can select WITHOUT CODES .... also, can anyone e-mail me, or post me instructions on how and what to burn to make my backup? My e-mail is: [email protected] ......... if you e-mail instructions, please let me know what type of disc you are talking about. ( Blue bottom or DVD ) ..... and what software to use. Thanks alot for your help everyone. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you ...... Peace

I would personally start saving my money for a no hassle Mod like the messiah 2 and be done with it. You WILL need a Mod to play backups. Sure you could shove a knife into your system but you would have to replace your PS2 because you'll eventually destroy it. If your not a soldering whiz there are people who can do it professionally. When your all done you be glad that you've made the investment. I've been through some sub-par mods like the USB mod and the No-solder mod. In my opinion they are a waste of money. Messiah 2 however, worth every penny you spend. :D
