gh0sth@cker 16-05-2002 11:20

If you would read the sticky topics you would find the crack without problems.

ShaMan 16-05-2002 12:42

Please define "still will not play win xp", what exactly does it do or not do, can you be more specific?

What are your box specs?

Which "patch" are you referring to, official update patch or a crack patch?

shelly 16-05-2002 13:20

main menu box comes up and options to play press on play box comes up saying encountered an error and option to send error report don't know if this is with it been windows xp. Patch was MOHAA Uk Us Patch 111v9safedisk

ok..if youre using a nvidia video card....click on this link and download the 28.32 xp detonator driver for your card.

http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=windows2000

it says 2000 but is xp compatible, i had the same problem with running MOHAA on xp pro until i downloaded this driver. its a biggun , about 8 meg i think, but should do the trick.

also make sure you got the correct version of direct x installed and the correct version crack for your backup.

:D

shelly 17-05-2002 10:06

thankyou will try that

kevinandperrygolarge 17-05-2002 10:38

NO worries matey.

anythings worth a shot.

let us know how you got on if you would.

cheers.

shelly 17-05-2002 12:36

Hi again i am total novice have the feeling i am not installing the patch right have got hold of the original game to try and that plays with no problems. Or maybe i have not got the right patch??

kevinandperrygolarge 17-05-2002 23:16

OK, put the back up of MOHAA in your cdrom and click my computer.

then right click the drive MOHAA is in and click on explore...this should bring up all the files on the MOHAA disc. there should be a read me file which is a white notepad looking icon with black lines to look like writing. open up the read me file and it should say what version game you have at the top, something like MOHAA version 1.0 or similar.

once you know the version just go the patch section on this site and download the appropriate version patch.

PS..it will probably be a winace file so you will need to download winace WWW.WINACE.COM , install the program, then download the patch. do you know how to install the patch into the game folder? let me know if you dont or leave a msg here.

shelly 18-05-2002 02:14

Hi version is 1.0 but i am unsure how to download the patch ty for your help

emptyeighty 18-05-2002 05:27

v1.11
ftp://ftp.ea.com/pub/ea/patches/moha...v9safedisk.exe

kevinandperrygolarge 18-05-2002 08:47

you can either do as emptyeighty suggests and upgrade the game to version 1.1..i think its a 15meg patch so if you got a slow connection will take ages to download or you can go the patches section of this site and download the version 1.0 patch and install it in the game folder.

you need winace to unzip the patch....go to WWW.WINACE.COM and download the latest version of winace program.
then download the patch for the game.

once you downloaded the patch winace should recognise the patch, click on patch and then the mohaa.exe ...then once winace is open click extract then my computer then local C: drive then program files then EA GAMES folder...then click unzip or extract patch....should give you the option to overwrite the existing file to which you say yes.

close winace then start up MOHAA .....the game should now load.....for extra realism try the 23kb blood patch but extract it into the folder called MAIN in the EA GAMES folder.

see how ya go .

cheers.

sorry if this isnt brilliantly clear, im not gr8 at explaining how to do stuff.

emptyeighty 18-05-2002 09:15

Quote:

Q: Will the player be able to toggle blood on and off?
A: No. The Nazis wore a lot of cloths, so you wouldn't see blood gushing out. It would be too unrealistic.

From the official MoH:AA site.

shelly 18-05-2002 09:19

Thankyou worked a real treat playing well and you explained brilliantly THANKYOU!!!!! :D

kevinandperrygolarge 18-05-2002 09:32

glad to help, i know how frustrating it can be when you cant a game to run.

unless youre squeamish, give the blood patch a go too, adds some realism to a gr8 game.

cheers shelly

:D

emptyeighty 18-05-2002 09:37

kevinandperrygolarge 18-05-2002 09:42

kevinandperrygolarge 18-05-2002 12:44

its actually quite a cool signature.

this is what ive translated it to mean :

One leads the large battles only with itself, for one is himself the largest opponent. Whether one wins or sinks, depends only therefrom whether one abandons himself. -Shaolinmönch in the dying
