Copying enhanced cds
 

Anyone know how to backup enhanced audio cds (ie with both audio tracks and data, such as a video). Have Nero but can't figure out how to do it - tried using mixed mode but no luck. Are there any programs out there that make it easy?

Thanks for the reply. I've just tried clone cd 4.0 but it says that my cd-rw drive is not compatible (it's quite an old Traxdata one). Does anyone know of any others??

Oh, BTW, there's a small bug in CCD4 which reports that your burner isn't supported, here's the official report from Olli himself:

It is a bug, sorry. Next version will fix it. But there is an easy workaround:

Right click on the writer. Now select "Settings". A window opens. Click "OK". Now you can burn. (This applies for all writers which became "incompatible" with CCD4 BETA 9)

You only have to do this once. If you exit CloneCD and start it again, you don't need to do this "trick" again.


If this doesn't help, then it mustn't be supported then.

Tried it and it seemed to work! Let me through to the copy screen, but the copy messed up - probably a scratched cd or something. Don't think it was the program. Thanks for the tip

i have done many enhanced ones, when audio and data is mixed. just tick subchannel data and audio when reading!

I keep getting an error - 'medium error: write error - loss of streaming'. Is that the cd I'm copying from that is scratched or something else? Have ticked subchannel data and audio but still won't copy right.

are you copying on the fly?

It failed while writing on the fly. Tried copying an image first but when I burnt the image, only the audio tracks were on the cd - no data. Had that problem before with Nero - tell it to do a cd copy and you end up with only audio.

are you sure you have data ticked? when you make the image, it should read 2 different sets of data. did it do that?

When it copies an image it copies 2 sessions, so it looks like both the audio and data is copying, but the end result only has audio. Can't figure it out. When I copy on the fly it crashes at about 22% with the error I mentioned earlier.

make an image using clone cd and tick both subchannel options. then burn the image back using raw dao 96 (u may only need 16, but im not sure)
