can anybody tell me if the lite-on 16/10/40 (16102b) with firmware osob can make a working backup of sd 2.51 without the need for a no cd patch i made a copy of jimmy whites cue ball world. but still need a no cd fix.

It should be able to make the copy without the need of any patches...

Are you using the correct settings??

try using the latest version of betablocker...

Why his Lite on should be able to do the job right?

Nah, don't think the Lite-On will copy SD2.51 perfectly. So as themis_t says - use the new modified Betablocker.

Well check CloneCD site, it has two dots on correct EFM, doesn't that mean it can do safedisc 2.51??

2dots = sfdsc 2.51 compatible

beaver, use clonyxxl. it will tell you how to make that work, or if the protection is unbeatable. maybe its securom ? i have no clue. research research research.

The plextor 24x has the 2 dots and it cant do sd2.51.
I tested that plex with sims hot date which is sd2.4 and I could not make a good copy. I dont think the 2 dots in clonecd means a whole lot. Get a lite-on and go to town...

Go back to the clonecd site and look again, the 24x does have 2 dots and will not copy sd2.51.

I have not been on their site lately and the 2 dots were for buffer, and efm before. He changed his site? I went and looked at the lite-on's and saw the 2 dots under efm, when did clonecd change to the 2 dots under efm? Lite on used to show only 1 before?
