Arcanum NO CD/fixed .exe for the new patch ver 1.0.7.0
 

the offical Sierra website took its sweet time posting this patch but some of the fansites (like www.terra-arcanum.com)
have had this patch for about a week ... how about getting a fixed exe for it?

The cd labels are DISK1 and DISK2

I was just about to ask about this patch when I saw this thread already posted. This is a great RPG and I hope someone will post a No CD patch for version 1.0.7.0

Ya love this game ... but without the patch it crashes all the time and the spells do odd things ....like i cant get rid of invisible orc that i summoned :(

That's terrible... Old exe is working, but... bugs still f@@k my mind...

I try to run Arcanum with 1.0.7.0 patch and old noCD exe (for first version 1.0.6.0 I think - included on warez CD) and it run perfectly, without any problem. Maybe there will not be every changes included in patch, but some will be, because not only exe is copied/modificated during installing 1.0.7.0 patch :)

Not the case - the game locks up frequently and gets buggy in combat - especially with spells. I'd say it's not worth playing now because the 1.0.7.0 patch won't recognize 1.0.6.4 characters - crappy deal indeed!

This trick didn't work for me.

Guys, using 1.0.6.4 .exe wont load almost any fixes included in 1.0.7.0! So you can forget about messing with that.
We all have to find the guy that worked on 1.0.6.4 and that kidnap him for couple of days! he he ...

P.S. Than again maybe they incorporated all new protection in 1.0.7.0, because of the "prematurely" released version that circled the net. Those Troika guys can be wicked...
