Hi...Does anybody know how to copy new Securom and Safedisc 2 protected cds?
 

Hi all....I have tried to copy some games that use the new Securom and Safedisc 2 protections with no good results....so anybody knows how?
I have used Clone cd with this options enabled:
- read subchannel data from data tracks
- read subchannel data from audio tracks
I have also used blind read and then Cdrwin.....but nothing!

Did you choose "don't repair subchannel Data" during your write?? If you did that means your cdwriter for some reason is not compatible with cloneCD because it will copy ANY game if your cdwriter will work. If you can't use clonecd I would recommend that you try blineread/blindwrite. They might work for you.

I was unable to copy Chicken Run using Clone CD v2.8.3.1 and a Ricoh 7083a CD writer. The Ricoh was 100% compatible with Clone CD and I followed your (Cybercop) instructions to the letter.
I also tried Blind Read/Write and Disk Juggler. Neither worked so I ended up using Easy Cd Creator Deluxe to make a standard copy and will have to wait for the crack from GCW.

Yea, I had the same problem with ALICE. Luckily there was a crack out there. 1st time clonecd hasn't worked for me.

You just can't copy those games, there might be 1-2 cd writers that will do it but i've tried several plextor, ricoh n yamaha and none can whether u use cybercop's settings or not

With Diablo2 I had the same problems, but nowadays there are enough patches.
Just go to www.megagames.com. Maybe there's a useful crack or exe.

We here at GCW's forum struggle to put out only ACCURATE information!! Please do not put out information that is inaccurate. CloneCD can copy ANY GAME WITH ANY PROTECTION!!! THE SETTINGS GIVEN OUT ARE PERFECT!! THE PROBLEM IS THAT NOT ALL CDWRITERS ARE COMPATIBLE AND SOME PEOPLE NEED TO PLAY WITH SETTINS FROM TIME TO TIME. I CAN BACK-UP ANY GAME WITH ANY PROTECTION...PERIOD!!! Please do not doubt my abilities unless you are sitting in my seat and wearing my shoes!!
I had vowed not to come back to this forum do to people like you but I have decided that people need my help since people like you are putting out soooooo much bad information. Try looking up "Tact" in the dictionary...now once you see what the definition is why don't you try to live up to it!! If you disagree with someones directions, opinions etc..why don't you talk to them about it rather than jumping to conclusions?? Sounds logical doesn't it??

Which reader / writer combination do you use to copy any game? I'm looking forward to buy me a new writer so which one shall I buy to be able to copy any protection with cloneCd 2.8.3.1???

I have successfully burned working backups of Diablo II, NOLF, and Alice using CloneCD and a Plextor 12/10/32 EIDE. I used the "read subchannel audio data" and "ignor read errors" options. By the way, these take FOREVER to read. Stays on 0% for a couple hours, but it does work if you wait long enough.

Hey John440, what settings were you using on CloneCD to do Hitman? I got a Sony CRX-140E, and using clone CD I have only been able to make nice coasters. I do have access to a Mitsumi 4804 though... Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. Also, reply to e-mail and post here... I don't get here that often.

Project IGI is no problem, cause the copy worx wihout reading subchannel data & audio... just copied the game with no option checked in clonecd with my iomega zipcd 650 writer *s*

were are you finding ignore read errors on clonecd i dont seem to have that option i've got version 2.8.3.1.

I can copy every safedisk 2 and securom game with my plextor 8432 and clone cd but they only works in the cd burner not in a cd reader.
Does anyone else got this problem...

hi killer, i've got the opposite problem i managed to copy gunman but it wont work in my writer a plextor 121032A but does work if I use my Cd reader. Weird!

People, please...CloneCD will copy ANY cd. ANY. One more time...ANY CD. You may have to patch it, you may have to modify your playstation, you may even be limited to playing the game in the burner you copied it in. Your CD-Burner must be compatible and must do things like overburn that others do not. DAO, SAO, TAO...all that stuff. Read the FAQ's like I did and you'll find answers to all your questions.

If you got a god burner you can copy diablo 2 (securom)and got a perfect copy.
I manage to do that.
But with the new safedisk 2 i only manage to make copies that works in the cdrecorder (plextor 8432) i tried almost all settings in clone cd and blind read / blind write . cdrwin , diskjuggler and nero. I tried to copy a lots of different game with safedisk 2 and all of them only works in the cd recorder not in a cd reader.
If you should buy a cdrecorder buy a plextor or a try to get the special teac.(Dont remember the sort but you can read about it in GCW best recorder)

I also burned NOLF using a HP 8200 series burner and kkj1961's settings: "read subchannel audio data" and, pike, I think he meant "don't report read errors", that's what I used anyhow, but I don't think it makes a difference. It took FOREVER though, I let it create the image overnight.

Can NERO burning ROM copy Safedisk 2 CDs?? I have an HP 8000 burner that doesnt work with CloneCD.

I have a 9300i HP Burner 10x4x32 that has done be proud up until I tried to backup Red Alert 2. I've tried every setting imaginable and every setting I can find on here that people have suggested. Is my burner just not compatible or should I try another program other than Clone? I've tried Nero but at 5 hours it was only at 1% so I stopped it. Any accurate help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i have a plextro 12/10/32 and it can copy any game i have tried and i havent used any crack.the games are alice,igi,diablo2 and everything worked fine!!!!!!!

the problems is not the clonecd....but the CDRW that you have....i have the RICOH 7120A and i have successfully burned working backups of Diablo II, and Alice using CloneCD...the RICOH is not working....i have use for image file enather cd-rom and then i burn with RICOH

ive read all the posts you have put up in this thread and have come to the conclusion that most of you are missing the point. The whole idea of the forum is to help each other out not to bitch like a lot of slit arses. lets pull together and help each other not brag what each of are new all dancing, singing ,loop the loop writers can do and try help the ones who like us have'nt been doing so well at backing up the games they like.

JUST BURNED DELTA FORCE 3 WITH CLONE CD.USED MY TEAC 540E TO READ AT 8X WITH JUST THE TOP TWO OTIONS CHECKED ON CLONE CD 2.8.3.1. WRITE OPTION WAS 'DON'T REPAIR SUBCHANNEL DATA,BURNPROOF AND CLOSE SESSION' .WROTE IT AT 4X IT WORKS IN BOTH DRIVES FINE AND IT IS PROTECTED WITH SAFEDISC2 .

Killer, great job, but what settings did you use to create the image of the safedisc 2 games such as red alert 2, can you please email me the explanation, cause i never have time to surf theses pages, thanks, [email protected]

looks like Plextor burner rulez!! i can copy any game (Sudden Strike, Alice...) with Plextor 12/10/32 (ide)
