Does anybody know what site i can download it from or is it just another hoax

Well I have the image on my HD right now, but I'm trying to find the password to extract it so I can burn the bastard thing

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.... If anyone knows the password for this file or if anyone knows how to override WinRAR passwords, then please E-mail me and then I can burn my own copy, test it, and then put out a non-passworded image so that everyone can burn it in peace and harmony forever....well almost LOL

But if anyone can help me, please do, if I can get it working, they will be the first to know

Hay Shooman, why don't you help us out by telling us what we need instead of being hypocritical to us less fortunate who don't know everything about this stuff.

I tried to get the password but I couldn't get it. I followed the instructions I got from the wordpad file that was included in the ps2boot cd file, but it led to nowhere.. Is there someone who can crack winrar passwords outthere ?

A few things:
*At least 6 CDR's to try to burn this 'PS2 BootCD' (that'll be the amount in which you'll stop at once you start getting sick of burning coasters...)
A Virus checker. God knows what these 'funny' guys stick in the zips of any sucker who'll download a s'posed 'PS2BootCD'.
The Ability to Read and Search. If you've read PSXcopyworld's article on PSX copy protection (or any valid arcticle of PSX/PS2 copy protection), you'll see a PS2BootCD is nigh near impossible with current home burners....

there is NO PS2 boot cd, if and when there is, it will be so widespread on the Net that you wont need a password or anything to unzip it

I can tell you there is one and I have it on my HD. My friend's cracking the password and when I have it, I'll be enojoying my imports and PS2 backups while you are stilling living in denial. This shit is happening for real !!!

the ps2boot cd is a fake (i got the image, too WITHOUT a password). If it's from INTERGANG -> throw it down the cellar.

It simply CAN'T work, 'cause the copy protection used by the PS2 is not like the one used by the DC.

THERE IS NO WAY to get a copy working without a mod chip, cause you have to skip two protections:

1. the language code
2. the unreadable sectors check which NO PC burner can read and
burn, even clonecd or stuff like that

The image you got, may be the UTILITY disc delivered with all the jap PS2 (it won't help you, too, 'cause even the UTILITY CD is protected so far :-)

Guys, stay cool, the MODchip is on it's way, some more weeks won't matter, cause there ain't much good prgs (ssx rulez!) worth copying.

Finga has it sorta right. *IF* there was a PS2 bootCD - you would definatly hear about it. It would be so wide spread that you'd be able to find it EVERYwhere (as what happened with the Dreamcast BootCD).
The fact still remainds, Sony have a good copyprotection device going (I mean, the PSX is still heavily protected (and that's been around for years), and without a MOD chip, there is NO way on this earth you can duplicate a PSX CD with home burners.
Some of you ppl really need to get your heads out of the sand and stop being so damn gullible...

All you ppl who have downloaded this 'ps2bootcd', dont you realise what ur doing when ur clicking away on all these links u gotta follow to find out the password? each click is worth money to the respective webmaster for access to other sites from their own! its quite clever and downright evil at the same time, do you have any idea how many ppl like urselves have been clicking them links? I bet the webmasters are coining it in from those like urselves, like I and shooman have allready said, if and when there is one, it will be just a simple click, download, unzip and burn procedure

Has anyone tried to get the password to download the games from www.ps2warez.net and www.gothicwarez.net, because you can't even get the password!!!!!!!!

I registered or whatever (followed the bitch-ass directions) and I got the page. First of all, not one of them words is the password for the RAR, unless I'm stupid. Second, I aint tried the 11th word to open up the rest of the site, but maybe I should since, assuming it worked, then I'd just go back 6 words for the PS2 bullshit.
and yeah, i dont think they got a boot cd for a USA PS2. I DO think that the gameshark for PS2 is gonna be involved in the inevitable method of playing burned games w/o a modchip.
also, anyone get a modchip yet? im a lil iffy on it...

At the time i posted this question warlock i had just received my PS2 and was curious about getting a mod chip or boot disc for it because i have like 137 PS one games that are backups and wanted to play them on my new system.by now everyone should know there are no modchips or boot cd for it yet.The mod chips at modchips.com DONT WORK! i ordered 3 of them ,when i got them they had jap wiring diagrams.when i contacted them they said that they had no american diagrams yet but would send me them as soon as they are available.they should tell people this before they order but they dont so if any of you are thinking about ordering a chip from the above mentioned site or any other site save your money because there chips wont work either. For now its all a bounch of bullshit and lies!!!!!

Hey Guys, I'm fairly fresh at this but got my modchip for the PS2 today and will be intalling it today......I downloaded the following files that make up the contents of the so called "Boot Disk for PS2"......If someone can walk me thru the production of it, I should be able to test it out, see if it works and I'll share it with the rest of you guys.....here are the contents that I have:

Four Files totalling: approx. 58 MB

file one: Psx2 Boot By TouFou.r01
file two: Psx2 Boot By TouFou.r02
file three: Psx2 Boot By TouFou.r03
file four: Psx2 Boot By TouFou.r04

I have the following utilities to work with and no idea what to do with these files:

CDRWin, CloneCD, and Adaptec 4.0

Now what??
