1. Install the game. Update game, apply NO-CD if necessary.
2. Download attachment, extract to HD, NOT in Gamefolder.
3. Move _CommonRedist folder from game install directory to last dvd in extracted folder.

5. Make iso files with the same name of folders.
6. Test the conversion, before burning ISO.

tried lzma .... saves only about 300MB compared to 0-compression

srep+lzma: threshold 10 result 5DVDs and the last DVD with Redist is 600MB

will try Method=pZLib+lzma
there's a "German_anim.pak" file in "Localization" folder. its size is 180mb and i think it would be no problem to delete it

by the way, is it ok to use lzma with pZlib or I should use lzma2?

It is ok.

You can use zlib checker from here http://fileforums.com/showthread.php?t=97657 to check if a game using zlib streams.

lzma2 is faster but in my tests the compression ratio is a bit lower than lzma.

Oh, and you should use srep aswell. zlib is only a precompressor.

I used pZLib+srep+lzma and also deleted the german language from localization folder (180mb) and "Credits.bk2" from videos (538mb) and I have 4 DVDs and the last DVD is 4.2GB. so pzlib has not better result. if I haven't deleted those files still i had 5 DVDs.

but when I tried to install the games I got isdone.dll error
I think it's because of using pzlib. I'm not sure. any idea?

Yes, seems pzlib has some errors left, or ultrarc not modified and tested properly.

Have not tested a single game yet with UA+pzlib (only compress.bat).

Will report back asap.

try reading the pZLib topic for answers ? Especially pages 13-14 ( part about no crc errors, change arc.ini )

I have found what cause the crc check error.

Different than expected it's not UA or pzlib, it's a bug in CIU script.

I have smasht that bug away.

First test was fine with a small game using pzlib+srep+lzma - All Ok.
Will test some other games too.

In the meantime, test with this Setup.exe

I finished with 3xDVD 5 here and fast to convert too, took about hour to do all

DVD 1 to DVD 4 size 4.37 GB

DVD 5 without Redist about 1.02 gb so not bad to have, will do another later with redist and any updates as get ;):)

forgot say installs in about 10 mins on my system here as well

you can delete these file if you don't need them, then you will have 4 DVD:

Did other post wrong it was 3xdvd5 not noticed put 5xdvd5 :(

This working fine but had to edit the UtraARC file as had a full stop on output line which deleted as wasn't able select the output directory for files. But all working fine when did that just in case anybody think not works ;):)

Deleted files as suggested and still just as good ;):)

@pakrat2k2 I deleted all these said files you posted and still have 302mb overflow which thought would have gone, but stuck with just that file to get rid of as now down to just over 17.8gb instead of 18.5gb ??

threshold is also important. I've set it to 30 and deleted that file and the result was 4 DVDs with srep+lzma

Redone with stuff removed and update v1.03 and still same and DVVD5 now at 291mb which no problem as all going be put DVD9 anyway once sort out :)
