Hello would like to know how to compress Mad Max to 4GB, I've tried and does not work UltraArc

That's strange... maybe coz the game is just 32GB and most files are already ARC compressed??? maybe that's why

You could use reflate and/or precomp brute to get that size, more or less.

reflate does not compress files with the extension .arc
I used the precomp jpg 0.42 recompression of UltraARC, and I have not had good results

Is there any installer that actually supports reflate so far?

create a .bat file and edit that like this

and don't touch "archives_win64\game0.arc" file because it would'nt compress. this is a kind of media file.

and for the other Game*.arc Files
use precomp043 only (on brute) to recompress the *.arc files.

what means *.sml and *.map? files i don't understand what they do those files. anyone knows?

@truerepacks you took those files from a temporary folder of the fitgirl installation ... you know explain their operation in compression and decompression.

*Sighs* Amigos ,you are so fixated on blowing your HDDs and copying things that you guys don't even try yourself...

When MadMax is concerned, you can easily get 4 GB mark with just REFLATE+MSC+SREP+LZMA. No need of burning up HDDs.

Bonus: If you wanna beat Ms FG, then, try extracting all the MP3 and then using mpzslimmer on it. It results about 300 MB gain.

Now, last week @Amsal inquired about JC3, I was like awe struck when I heard you guys were going to use Byte Patcher...Man, HDDs are costly...I repacked it & got 22.9 GB without any of those stuff (Includes all Audio & is of 50 GB).

SO, quit burning disks & copying & start exploring.

i don't remember it correctly (its been half a year or so)

maybe they probably extract the .dds files from the archives and put the dummies in place of this, process the files with precomp and then with reflate(may be not reflate, there is only raw2hiff[fgpack2] in installation folder
