I'm working on other projects, I buried myself under a pile of projects, sometimes I have to stop working on some them and try to work with the rest (It is called prioritizing).

hopefully after all that you weren't using anything newer then UA2400. The V3 had some serious issues & that's why it's been rolled back to 2400. Aside from that just to save a few dvd5 not worth all the extra time it'll take to install it because of precomp.

Razor12911 01-06-2015 15:08

Alright guys, I have a lot of time to work on ASC so I'm back on the UltraARC project.

But this time I'll need:
Windows 10 x86 and x64 user for testing
Windows 8.1 x86 and x64 user for testing
Windows 7 x86 user for testing

Users must have Team Viewer.

GBT repack 01-06-2015 19:35

that was in UA3, which has been removed due to too many bugs. Use Only UAv2.4 as that is the last stable version.

those settings are srep,exe,exe2,delta,lzma

Razor12911 04-06-2015 03:48

pakrat, I installed Win8.1 x64 and I did not experience any bugs with v3, I don't know what's wrong though with other computers. It started without any bugs and compressed normally.

I had no issues either on VM, yet too many people cant seem to get it to compress any files without error, which is usually end-user error not UAv3 issues.

Stor31 04-06-2015 08:49

Ok

better same as V 2400 :)

[Freearc]
Method=precomp,srep,exe,exe2,delta,lzma
PrecompVer=0.38
Max payne 3
28.3 GB =} 17 GB :D

Thx Thx Thx Razor12911

Compressing Mortal kombat X 37.1 GB (with UltraARC 2400 and 3021) in windows 8.1 x64:

Free space in the temporary folder where are created the data: 80GB
Free space in C: 40GB

Method=srep,exe,exe2,delta,lzma

Compression time : 2 hours 30 minutes approximately (37.1 GB =} 30.2 GB)

Result: When creating the data the process stops.

Note: Do not use precomp in compression. Sorry for the mistake.

pakrat2k2 04-06-2015 12:47

precomp is the guilty party most of the time.

omdj 04-06-2015 15:30

compresing with srep + lzma: process stopped.

http://i61.tinypic.com/szcxg2.png

pakrat2k2 04-06-2015 16:06

but if Mortal kombat X 37.1 GB you need 2x37.1GB to be able to compress / split files properly.

I do not understand why this error. I'll finish by changing the operating system.

omdj 05-06-2015 06:28

In the end I installed windows 7 x64 and these are the results:

Compressing Mortal kombat X. Size: 37.1 GB (with UltraARC 3021).

Free space in the temporary drive where are created the data: 75 GB

Method=srep,exe,exe2,delta,lzma.

Compression time : 4 hours approximately (37.1 GB =} 26.2 GB)

Result: successful compression without error.

Installing the game:

Installation time: 50 minutes.

Result: Installation successful. there were no installation errors.

Hi Razor 12911
It would be so kind as to add support for Ultra Arc UA_3030, my installer

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3i...ew?usp=sharing

Razor12911 06-06-2015 09:44

I'll see.

punchao 07-06-2015 08:19

Ultra Arc support for BlackBox Kurutucu script ,please

felice2011 08-06-2015 09:46

Hi Razor, i intended to use your program, but did not succeed in any way, I wanted to compress and split a picture folder, but it stops at this screen

http://i59.tinypic.com/289hjbd.png

Wanting to close the process, the application stops responding, and I have to reboot the system.:rolleyes:
Or is it me not to be able to use the program or has some problems...:)
I would also recommend to add a button to terminate the process in an effective way..in case the user should need to stop the process before the end.

aram1376 08-06-2015 10:15

I had the same issue Felice.
There's not a problem with UltraARC, you just should deactivate your Antivirus and you'll be fine.

Think it is not normal, given my experience, disable an antivirus for operating a compression program ....:rolleyes:;)
In the event that there is a false positive, the filename blocked by the antivirus should be made public...;)

Eraser_LH 10-06-2015 11:46

hey razor how can I increase the amount of compression, where I can change the amount of RAM for compression and decompression ?

Razor12911 10-06-2015 12:23

Ultra arc and the resources are x86 and support 2gb+ mem usage is not possible.

felice2011 11-06-2015 02:20

Hi Razor, why still uses the precomp042...is not more convenient to use the precomp043..:)

Logrim 11-06-2015 03:11

For me at least, precomp043 is a lot more buggy..

A great pity, in fact I noticed that it is very slow decompression, either from the command line and the same thing with inno setup, pity that can not be exploited more ram..

Razor12911 11-06-2015 11:57

Decompression is not determined by memory usage that much but by hard drive speed, remember, merging also takes place and those are one of the causes of slow decompression.

Edit: otherwise, i can just make an x64 of ultra arc but not everybody uses 64-bit operating system, and i have made freearc and srep use more than 2gb ram but result is rather a disaster, for example, srep64, you must have enough memory for it to start, if it needs 4gb ram to use and you have about 3.7gb ram, it will not start then people start posting that the conversion or compression doesn't want to work but it is their system that lacks the resources. Which is why it takes long to (de)compress, it is just a way to accommodate everyone.

Si, but I think that by now the system 64 should have it all.
I do not think that still used in xp or install a new copy of w7 x86.
I in the new "Installer" except the 100% compatibility with "UltrArc", 7z and RAR run only 64bit.:)
Thanks anyway for your work.;)
