PS: i can see a file called "english.ini" in the folder "script" in the main installation path , if i translate this file to my favourite language, then we can make another .ini file with our language and then put it in the same dir, then it will work ? or we need a small customization, so we can be able to use another language for installation, rather than english ?

also, i need to know how i can put a task for opening a support forum after installation completed ?

also, i there any possibility to change the format of the credits ? (ripper - %ripper_name%% ) , maybe add a url ... etc

PS: i have found that the size of the folder of the installation is the same as the installation which i make with another script

so it means that it finished installation !

but why it says that it's 50% and then crash !

it should say that it's 100%

note that, i have not added any redist files !!

freearc compatibility makes error like that. use the same arc.exe which was out with unarc.dll. and maintain the packjpgdll.dll and zlib1.dll(precomp cases), if you are using conversion arc packer, you should use the isdone files provided. you must be consistance when it comes to freearc.
and, srep errors could be compatibility errors, when you upgrade a file for compression, upgrade the file for decompression as well.

but there's no "Arc.exe" file in the script files (black box v2)

it's only a file called "arc.ini"

what compressor are you using?
ir you are using conversion arc packer, then copy unarc.dll from isdone support folder and replace the one in bb.

but so you say boy, there are all the files that you want to just do the replacement as it says razor

see that red box? in it is a button with no text. press it and the Output-Dir field will be filled automaticly with {appdata}\
saves time and errors


also, are you sure you want your bin files on four different dvds?
just leave the fields empty and everything is ok.

btw: precomp 0.42 causes crashes with 0.42 created archives, i just used 0.41 and it worked fine.
but i never used the loose unarc.dll y_theknight gave us

i have used the file "unarc.dll" and the game installed, but there's a small problem with records !!

the installation starts with 25% and successfully finished when it reaches 50% :D

but there's one problem is that , when i fill and click "add" the rows when i made become empty !

so i click "add" 4 times to make 4 rows and then fill them by hand ! :D

my tool which i use to compress and make bin files is using precomp 0.42 !

i have tested compressor by "Razor" but i'm a bit confused , which compress method i should choose :D

First of all thank you for this tool it looks really great.

I just wanted to know if it is possible (or maybe in the future?) to be able to select different part that we want to install. Like if you want to install a game and a part of its Addons or DLC but not all of them, is it possible to have a selection ?

For example I think to make one for The Sims 3 collection so I would like to know if I can create an install where I'll be able to select what I exactly want to install.

make a archive with main game files..
make another archive with DLC

and do like this..

if all files are successfully installed then it is an internal error, not your fault. meaning it will be fixed.

I finished all my archives but now I have 2 issues.
When I start setup.exe I have a setup.tmp error. It says that it can be in 'written' ?

The second one is when I press OK on that error the setup restart and then when I'm on the screen to select my components, I have only 4 selections shows but I configured for 12. Is there a limit for components we can use ?

Oh and if I add a music, Is there any way to turn it off by a button maybe ?

i face a strange problem when in the page (resources/archive)

when i fill the bin file name , and then click "add" it adds an empty row !
when i fill the empty row manually with details, i face later a problem in records while installing

today i try to add a row with already filled data (bin file name, output dir, disk no.) and then click add, so it adds an row filled with data, and not empty !

now records are works fine !

what was the problem ???

i even have tested to do the same with redist , but now i get an empty row !!! :( :(

Is there a guide on how to use it? I mean do I compress the game using this too or do I use a compressor and which method's are supported

just click "add", then select the field you want to edit, then type text in it.
filling the boxes first and then pressin g add wont work!

at the field "primary folder" you may specify a folder containing game files.
the setup will compress them internaly. available options for internal compression algorythm is a box higher. it can do zip, lzma high/low etc.

blackbox also supports external archives. this can be compressed with a tool Razor12911 made. click here for the thread with download

external files are added like in this screenshot.
dont set the DISK parameter, if you dont split your installer on disks!

I'm still trying to make an install with more than 4 components but it stays stuck at 4 as a limit to show. Does anyone know anything about that ? How could I do to have all the components I need to be able to select ?

Maybe, the installer only supports a maximum of only 4 components.

@razor jepp, cause the GUI is to small for more components to be listed.

we all want more, maybe horizontal listed too

also i cant set the game size to under 1gb, my game currently is 552 mb big (see purple box again, no connection)

also blackbox uses the last used images again. its nice for the logo, but not good for the rest. but if you make projects saveble this problem fixes itself.

i also dont understand the redist. what to fill in, do i use {src} or {app} or nothing to specify the folder? you should make a dropdown for it, like razor did in his IC. this way noone can make something wrong.

I notes small bug. I set the Game Size to 1000MB and installer shows Required Free Space as 1.98GB - it should be equal to Game Size. Please fix that!

And one more thing... Is ur installer support srep 3.93?
