this may have answered my question right here. I am using an OLD Nvida GeForce MX440, the computer has 256 MB ram, and im hooked to a Samsung DLP with VGA (for what its worth). I get the loading screen and the menus, but i cannot see my mouse pointer. I have to guess where it is to highlight things. When trying to create a character, I cannot see the character either. The ONE time I actually managed to get the mouse pointer over 'OK' to get into the game, the game looked like a polygonal mess (think SNES Star Fox gone bad). I could make out dressers and desks here and there, but it was unplayable. Is this because my video card is just old and outdated and isnt supported, even with current drivers?

cant write character name!!!

i wish i had such problems like "i cant get out of cars" or " invert mouse" but with problem i cant play the game... I start new game , i waste 30 minutes to make my character and when i press ok i could write a name. my keyboard was ok but i couldn't write a name and the game crashes :mad: . i dont believe that is a hardware problem cause i have a GT7800 , amd 3500+ and 1GB ram. any solution:confused: ???

Yes your problem would definately be associated with your MXX440 card.

i meant NX7800GT VT2D 256 and not mxx 440:D

mount image with daemon tools everything will be fine,i ve tried all the patches and fixes and the only method that the game works properly with is mounting the image with daemon tools.....

latest version of alchool doesnt work and latest of daemon doesnt work with the minimage
is says insert disk in unit f: so stop postings useless solution you only waste my time

no i doesnt work

i have the latest version of the 2 programs alchool and daemon and whe u insert de image it says please insert cd in f drive
so it doesnt recognize the image and doesnt work

Instead of saying "it doesnt work!" you should actually be saying "it doesnt work for me!"
It 'does' work fine for me and many others.
What is you actual 'F' drive? Is it a real CD/DVD drive?

Perhaps, the FAQ has a few useful ideas you haven't tried yet.

Install game.
Don't replace the .EXE.
Mount the mini image using latest Daemon Tools.
All emulation options in Daemon Tools set to off.
And thats it, works that way for me.
No need for any other curerom type tools.
And BTW "darthmarc" no need to be rude these guys are only here to help, So stop the rudeness. It gets you nowhere!
