I can fix this.
Go to regedit (start, run, regedit)
Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > MOUNTED DEVICES.
Right click on the folder MOUNTED DEVICES and go to permissions, then click advanced. Look under "type" and if you see any that says "deny" you need to click edit and click full access then click ok. You wont get that error again ;)

I can get the game as far as the loading screen then it just crashes to desktop.... anyone know how i can fix it? I have tried compatibilty modes.

Maxi Image from POSEDEN works absolutely fine with the latest patch v1.02. I recommend putting YASU in autorun, so it will do job without the need of any use interventions. Also, the compression is very neat & allows the image to take only ~50kbs on the disk. Great job :)

Hmm.. I get some weird things with YASU 1.05.. Ive mounted the R6:Vegas mini image (poseden) in Dt4.08 (R6 patched to 1.02) and it loaded fine.. was able to play all day without problems.. now i had to reboot my pc as i run dual boot (vista) to install the R6 1.02 patch in vista as well.. but i forgot to dismount the mini image.. after i rebooted again to XP it didn't want to load.. during safe mode i noticed XP hangs on spdt (which is a Dtools driver).. i had to load the last good known config to be able to load XP.. never had this problem before with mounted images in Dtools.. but i just tried YASU to see if the Poseden image works... so it looks this YASU didn't release the hidden drives during reboot.

Someone else experienced the same?

No i never got that. I can get it all working pass the cd check but it always crashes on the point where its loading.... is my pc just not good enough? I got pentium 4 2.55ghz 1gig ddr radeon 9800xt 256mb and windows xp.

I still have the problem, that the pc freezes up now, when I use yasu. This isnt the case on my other pcs (unfortunately non-gaming pcs).

Yesterday I got it to work ONCE. but I cant repeat it. I think what I did, was hiding all my CDs with the SFNightmare. then, when there were no drives visible, I ran Yasu and it immediately popped up the message that it worked.

Cant reproduce this now though.. pc freezes up, no matter what I try.

new theory: just managed to get it to work: while frozen, I hit CTRL+Esc a few times, all of a sudden windows was working again. now I can start it up.

Can some1 update Poseidon crack here? because when i want to unpack it it stucks at 50%

you must wait patiently for it to unpack, as it's about 3 gigabytes of zeroes. just walk away from computer for 3-4 minutes & when you're back it should be extracted without errors :)

It worked... I run it.. it says "a new update blah.. something" "Do you want to
run it?" I click "No" and after 1 minute the game starts :P

( Ran YASU in silent mode :P)

Take a look in readme.txt and you will see that ATI Radeon 9550, 9600, 9700 and 9800 are unsupported as well as entire X800 series. You must have video card featuring Pixel Shader 3.0, that means GeForce 6, GeForce 7, GeForce 8, Radeon X1800 and X1900 series with their derivates.

I know, this sucks big time, but that's the price of PC gaming.

It's nothing to do with technology, Ubisoft are just too lazy to make it support all cards so they just make it PS 3.0 only so they wipe out about 80% of gamers and so cut a potential 80% of support problems! They are just cutting their own throats, I hope they go bankrupt!

hey everyone, I just got this game for Christmas and I was pretty excited to play it due to getting bored with the current games i have now...

Installed and everyone and I got the emulator error thing. Now I do have Daemon running as to I have Fallout 1 and 2 as images due to my original cds being all scratched up. I tired to just uninstall Daemon and it still won't work.

I googled around and found a link to here and did everything that people posted on here and nothing works. Funny how I finally get a legit copy and I can't play it. Thankgod I didn't pay 50 bucks for this crap.

Anything else I can try?
