Make a full image with Alcohol 120%, call it the same as the original disc.
I ticked skip read errors, and advance sector scanning.
When its done, download the latest daemon tools.
Mount the image.
Now in order for it to work, disable all REAL hardware optical drives via device manger (admin tools, or control panel>system) right click and go disable.

now it should work.

This is only to be used if you have Brought Original Game. and are only using it for a no-CD/DVD options, to keep the disc safe from damage.

Use your own disc to create the image, since the image would be 3.4gb.

safedisc 4.70 you can't run mini images only full images.

follow instructions in my post, and it will work.

only downside its a full 3.8gb image.
have to wait until anti-blacklisting programs update to support sd4.70.000 to make mini images work

so you reckon blindwrite v6 can make a complete full 1:1 backup of safedisc v4 ay

i dont see how it only has one write type all protections are differant.

Not 1:1, but an emulated copy, which means Blindwrite/EZ-Play Manager has to stay installed when starting such a copy.

P.S. No matter which burning software you use, for DVD there is only one "write type" anyway; and of course for CD BW6 is capable of all needed write modes. For those semi-idiots :rolleyes: who want more control there is Blindwrite 5 + BW5Tweaker

EDIT: Ill just say :P

Left click Icon in the taskbar, goto settings, then cd/cd drives, tick the box next to "Permit Indirect Insertion......"

Then right click the icon in the taskbar, goto your real drive in the list and mount the BF2142 image, it should be listed since you made it with VirtualCD.

Then run the game.

It's still not working. Maybe I made the image wrong

well 5 star is NOTHING but a clone of daemon/alcohol, it uses the same engine, check if you dont believe me.. most of the 'other' emulation products out there are using the daemon/alcohol engine...

it is so good

infact its the only program that allows me to use a backup of the game at all.

im after a fixed exe so i dont have to use a disk at all

That's interesting. I used Alcohol to make an image of my BF2142 DVD which works fine when I load it into Daemon Tools.

wrong :) wouldnt it be a little strange if the 'parent' program (alc/daemon) can't do something a 'child' (ie: licensed and renamed) program can't, considering the drivers have the same functionality... you need to do some research mate..

banned from their server... possibly... really depends how the crack is done.. other cracks (warcraft 3 for example - gimpsrus) 'reroute' api calls like GetModuleFileName to the 'org' file, so checksums etc pass...

banned from this forum... only if you don't own the original game

Like whats been said about it, it is a clone of other programs, so infact since its a clone how can it be better than its predecessors?

Anyways, since no fixed exe for your other question, I suppose you can use your amazing piece of software to burn back ups and use them, thus you original is still intact.

And yes A120% can do DVD's :P
