another problem i guess

hi i was reading this topic since the begin
but my probl wasn't cited, that is when i start the game with original or no-cd luncher my game begins in a black screen, i press anything but nuffin happens
just "alt-tab" looking in the task manager i see the game do not use more than 16mb from memory, that mean it's stopped
what sould i do?
and the other problems? were resolved?

it's a called rip version of the "Scarface: The World is Yours" i downloaded in 3 pack of 95mb each, i though it strange, but i discompressed and unbelivebly the game get 1,30gb. anyone did this also? then you think is a hardware problem, the game problem or just a corrupt file during descompression problem?

thanks ;)

You have XP SP2 installed?

blazed´ 04-01-2007 02:43

no i have xp sp1 ( i hate sp2 ) ^^

Joe Forster/STA 04-01-2007 03:20

No reason to hate SP2: it's easy to install, it doesn't fuck (many ;)) things up and it makes your OS even more stable. Highly recommended!

BarryB 04-01-2007 03:28

Yup! Joes' right, I was Anti-XP2 but found some games required it so installed it and not had any major problems, windows still crashes and does weird things but that's windows anyway!!

Install SP2 as many new games now require it for support reasons!

MiztaEvil 09-01-2007 06:01

I was just wondering I use windows 2000 in that way I cant install the XP SP2... Am I doomed until I get XP or is there another way?
Thanks in advance

Joe Forster/STA 09-01-2007 07:00

Then there are already two reasons why your configuration doesn't meet the minimum requirements: 1) Windows XP, 2) XP SP2.

MiztaEvil 09-01-2007 07:37

Aww... Oh well... Thanks anyway!
