What do you mean by system control? Is it add/remove programs in the control panel?

You can try to copy the SpellForce2.exe and the protect.dll from your DVD and paste it into your SpellForce 2 game dir.
(After you have patched the game!).

It should be the same result...

If i use the original .exe, i don't think that the game uses the patch files. In the main menu it says game version 1.0 and build bla-bla-bla...

It will use some patched files.
There are plenty of users, who can confirm this.
For example a bug or more bugs which was/were gone after the patch, even if you use the orig exe and dll.

Maybe the patched exe and dll-file do only update the copyprotection.
Or some other minor things.
Who knows?...

I got an error when trying to enter the sevenkeeps map. Tried several times, but still the same bug. So after some tries i decided to delete the .pak files that the patch created... and whoila - problems dissapeared. Quite wierd that the patch makes new bugs to replace the ones it fixed ;)

I have the australian version which I believe uses the tages protection, does anyone know how to bypass tages?

if you have problem "access violation occured " you must Update you game and install patch 1.01 and BE WORK :))

One thing I don't understand is that why unpatched retail version of games like SpellForce 2, & Blazing Angels work with one type of MiniImage but after patching, they refuse to run...
I mean, even with drives DC'ed...

In the v1.01, some changes may have been made in the EXE's code aswell... thats why it is crashing on that particualr map...

Spricht hier auch jemand deutsch der mir erklären kann wie ich Spellforce 2 zum laufen bekomme???

Hab das spiel installiert und das mds image von Gamecopyworld in demon tool V4.03HE Gemounted und dann kommt der kopierschutz !!!

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilfe!!!!

Klar sprechen hier einige Deutsch.
Hast du den offiziellen Patch installiert?
Das solltest du nämlich lassen, da dieser den Kopierschutz aktualisiert.
Hast du dir die Beiträge hier gut durchgelesen (falls du etwas Englisch kannst)?
Achte auch darauf, dass es auf gcw mehrere Mini Images gibt!

Sure there are people who speak German.
Have you installed the official patch?
You shoudn't install it, because it does update the copy-protection.
Have you read the other posts (if you can understand English)?
There are some mini images at gcw, look for the right!

Ja hab mir das hier alles schon paar mal durchgelesen aber trotz meiner englisch kenntnisse raff ich das alles net so !!Den patch hab ich nicht instaliert!! Wo find ich die mini images ich find da nur

* SpellForce 2 SAVEGAME
die standard dinger die unter spellforce 2 stehen ich bin echt am verzweilfeln weil ich das spiel nicht zum laufen bekomme!
Und weil ich auch nicht so der pc profi bin wäre eine detailierte anleitung auf deutsch echt sehr nett!!

Hey also weis zwar nicht wie aber jetzt funktioniert es aber neues problem jetzt will das spiel den cd key ganz am anfang von mir??°!!
