i've download the game two hours age and i have tried three ways to run the game(a: change the compatibilty B: use antiblax C: virtualDriverhide). But unfortunately they all dont work. I dont know why. Maybe it because my OS is win2000 (SP3).
So the last thing i could do is to suspend my real diver. and that works.
God bless!
Hope this could help some people just like me. And i feel sorry for those who have to suspend more than drivers.

Antiblax seems to have the same function, but to tell you the truth i'm not clear about how to set it properly.

BTW, you'd better re-install the game. Not really install, but take the "repair" option.

Have you read the forum rules yet? I think not! You should take the opportunity to read them NOW as I feel you may not be a member here for much longer!!

If you have the original game CD the purpose of the what I posted won't help you play without the CD. This is only until a mini image is released

You need a CD image of FM06 to play to the game if you don't have an original copy of the game for the time being.

If you do have an original copy wait for a mini image or get a full image so you don't need the CD anymore.

He means your supporting warez issues with that statement..

We dont support warez here, so telling people they need an image if they dont have an original, is a warez issue.

Hmm is anyone having this issue too?:

Using XP Pro and I made an image file in alcohol 120% of my disc and then burnt that to CD, using alcohol again. When I use the backup disc it comes up with "please reinsert the disc press ok and try again". I do and the same thing happens. So I got a copy of Daemon Tools, mounted my image file, same thing. Changing compatibility means about 6/7 minutes after running fm.exe I get a "Not Resonding" reoprt on the game. Any ideas how I can play it without having to ever take the original disc out of it's box again?

1. Make sure the compatibility is set to Windows 2000.
2. Get Daemon Tools 3.47 and mount your FM2006 image.
3. Get Vitrual CD HIDE 1.0.04 and launch it (hide all virtual drives).
4. Run the game.
5. Enjoy

Install the game
Go into the game folder (where you installed he game e.g D:Program FilesSports InteractiveFootball Manager 2006) and find the file fm.exe
Right click fm.exe and choose properties
Click on the tab that says compatibility
Tick the box that says Run this program in compatibility mode for
Choose NT 4 (service pack 5)
Apply
Make sure that the image is loaded on Alcohol or Dameon Tools
Double click the fm2006 exe on the desktop and play the game!

This is the last word,it works
You wont need virtual CD hide software, just apply the steps as swoosh3k explained. It is working and I can play at the moment. Thanks swoosh :)

I'm new, but what is mounting a image.. I have downloaded all programs (Deamon tools / Alcoholic / CD HIDE).. but I don't know how to mount a image? And what image excactly meant? fm2006.bmp?

Thank for your help!

Infest 22-10-2005 18:00

Ok chaps advice needed. I got FM2006 working without my cd by doing this:

Install the game
Go into the game folder (where you installed he game e.g D:Program FilesSports InteractiveFootball Manager 2006) and find the file fm.exe
Right click fm.exe and choose properties
Click on the tab that says compatibility
Tick the box that says Run this program in compatibility mode for
Choose NT 4 (service pack 5)
Apply
Make sure that the image is loaded on Alcohol or Dameon Tools

HOWEVER i quit the game and came back later to continue playing but it will no longer let me run the game. I double-click and it drives for a bit then nothing, no error message no nothing. I tried unmounting and remounting, i've even ran the repair but so far zippo.

Can anyone help?
