we can make a working full image via are dvds, yet its 4gb of space taken.
just disable real cd/dvd ide drives.
but still searching for a mini image solution. its annoying.

if you didn't buy bf2142, then why are you here? just use the crack, since you can't play online anyway.

EAlink exe version of BF2142 ver. 1.0 is uploaded on GCW.

How I can check if it is uploaded correctly?

Put it in game directory and run patch 1.01 again. It will be updated to 1.01.
And there is one more thing. Change your desktop shortcut from BF2142.exe to BF2142Pace.exe

It looks like this BF2142Pace.exe is bound with eagames-bf2142-online_content-bf2142_na.ilf license file and can't work without it.
This license file is generated from EAlink software and it contains data obtained from my computer. That means only I can use it.
It’s almost impossible to decrypt content from this file. :mad:

Heh. You can have it. But you must buy it first on EALink. It's bind with license.

Dont start requesting the 1.06 crack guys. I suggest reading the rules and see how long to wait before requesting cracks for new patches.

Appreciate all your help. I suscessfully created an image with this app; but it seems like a complicated util (might just be new to it). I just redone my entire system and didn't want to install too much stuff to clutter it up.. LOL! If you run across that "mini' we're looking for, please let me know. Thanks again, much appreciated. I just made a maxi image and it works very well. Problem is I dont have much drive space left for this image. Is there any way to shrink it like maybe remove some files or zero out some files?

Read the forum FAQ. (If you find out which parts to remove/zero out then you can enable Windows compression to make the image take up less actual disk space.)

For people who have purchased the game and can't create a working image. I did find one on REMOVED Just do a search for 2142 image and it's the maxi image. I haven't found any noticable bugs yet in online titan play with the new 1.06 patch.

i use the ******* image(the ********* image wont work for that), altrough i have 2 pc's and only one of them works with it
image has to be BURNED, using virtual drives in 2142 is exremly dificult, not wort the trouble a DVDR is 20cent

did not risk 1.05 yet, i still be able to play 1.01 ranked, but i think the image will work on 1.06 as well... i hope

(i only got the original cd-key to save on shipping)

I am just passing this on because I know some people were having problems getting a mounted image to work. Myself I have a scratched DVD that kept having read errors, this was a great solution for me.

The image I had mounted for 2142 with Daemon tools worked great until 1.05/1.06. The image I got from the torrent works great for 1.06; also DVD burner is still over $50 in Canada where I live. I'm not going to start buying a DVD drive for each game I play, that just doubles the cost of the game in my mind.

I got a valid cd key because i bought it and if i tell em to send the cd key it will cost a lot for me( im in argentina)

I tried to use a maxi image, but it still asks for my original DVD (which i have) I only have a SATA DVD RW but i disabled that just in case. I made a Maxi image, with Alcohol 120% mounted it with Alcohol 120% but it doesn't work.

just found out about gamejackal. Not free software though but it can create a mini image for bf2142. I just finished making an image and the resulting image is 10mb:D :D Just saved 3.5gb

Upload it to gcw if it works... :)

I'm going to a lanparty this weekend and i don't wanna carry my original DVDs to play, as it is a 3 day event, i'm not going to be in front of a computer the whole time (gotta sleep sometime) and i dont wanna leave anything hanging around my puter. I have my original DVD of 2142, what can I do with it? how can I do it?

the only problem i seem to have that it only works on the drive i burn the image with... but i did use the trashiest/cheapest DVDR to burn i had

so make a backup copy of your original DVD

@pweasel: Your request is pretty much against forum rule #1. Read it carefully! (Also, think about what happens if the "software police" breaks in and you're playing the gam without any original DVd in sight... ;))

well in worse case scenario the police would temporary confiscate his pc, then he would have to bring proof of ownership, then his pc would be released,
it is a bit annoying that one have to run around but not an impossible task

but in case of 2142 there is an easier way where one can proof ownership

if you have internet: simply log in to ea.com, click on "get in ea nation", then "log in", "account info"
and there is all the info the police will need even before any trouble would happen

or if you don’t have internet access on the lan party, probably a copy of purchase receipt will do

although so far I know on a lan party if there is a razzia just about every computer there will have some illegal software, so far I’m informed the police will only confiscate pc’s if there is large amount illegal activity going on, a few suspicious games/programs they would let slide – to much paper work for very little chance of prosecution

and for the mater of fact there are tons of guys on lan parties who love to disappear with other peoples goods, the chance of that is much higher then a razzia

as it is a closed lanparty without internet access, i think i'm going to install the GPRS modem of my cel and use it to browse :) just in case I neet to log into my EA account in the middle of an usncheduled razzia. ;)

a piece of miscelaneous info: here in Uruguay, there are commercial businesses that deal with pirated games and the police are just concerned with things belonging to MS, Symantec, et al.

hmm i think im doing something wrong, i got an image of bf mounted in daemon tools(newest version), but it dont work, so i tried to unplug the dvd-drives manually and then it works, but that is not worth the effort... if i had to unplug the drives its simpler to play with the og dvd....

isnt there amother posibility to play the game online without to unplug the drives? if i just deactivate the drives, the game ask for the og dvd...

Well, thanks to the new 1.10 patch released today... the crack does not seem to work for me anymore... Does anyone know of any crack that actually works with the 1.10 patch?

If you took the time to read through the posts of this thread, you will realize there was a crack for multiplayer. But due to the new 1.10 patch, they crack no longer works.
