KunDun 14-08-2006 02:49

KunDun 14-08-2006 03:23

ups

nope - after 15 min. the original crashed too. damn! i think it's the video card problem - i've got the newest drivers, but nothing changed. does anyone know any official site of tq featuring normal faq where they told anythink about problems with ati cards? where should i write this thread?

Joe Forster/STA 14-08-2006 04:50

I suggest that you read the game manual for the address of the official game support forum.

Have you tried the method WebSurfer posted about? The one involving Bender's image + CureROM Loader (not CureROM) + Daemon Tools v4.03?

That method worked for me whereas all other alternative methods failed.

Yup, works fine until I use teleport or enter a portal.

EDIT: If you use CureROM loader instead of CureROM or Alkirom, then the game will run stably for hours whether you use/go through portals or not. I've finished the game a few days ago using the Bender Mini-image + CureROM loader + DT v4.03 method.

i use Bender Mini-image + CureROM loader + DT v4.03 method.
but crashes if i wanna teleport.

Vel 17-08-2006 22:46

Well my game is crashing every time i use a portal =\

This is with version 1.11

other than than, no known bugs found

onizzy 19-08-2006 14:19

Online play

This is a little unrelated to the topic at hand but has anyone been able to play the reloaded version of tq online? currently I have the tq iso mounted using alcohol and am playing 1.01. I tried the reloaded update to 1.08 and it doesnt work so I'm stuck with 1.01.I will give a cookie to anyone who can give me directions or point me to the proper forum on how to update it properly or play online

BarryB 19-08-2006 15:33

Yeah, but if they did that you'd have no one to take the piss out of would you :)

Joe Forster/STA 19-08-2006 16:36

@onizzy: Banned, forum rule #1.

Yummy Sprinkles 20-08-2006 02:07

I wonder why a cracking group hasn't released a no-cd for the 1.11 patch of this game. The game seems pretty popular, and it was on the top 10 bestselling games list for a few weeks.

Shame though. Such a polished games deserves some attention from the no-cd wizards. I've got about 12 games on my PC right now, and switching CD's every time I switch what I'm playing is driving me batty!

juergen 20-08-2006 07:34

I cant understad, why everybody is still crying for a 1.11 Crack.

The good guys from Gamecopyworld postet on their main page the news, that the brand new CureRom 2.0.3.3 is specially designed to work with it !!

... strange days.

Joe Forster/STA 20-08-2006 07:39

Because complete removal of the copy protection is better than only the circumvention of it.

juergen 20-08-2006 10:22

Thanks Joe,

but i am pretty sure, that users like Vel, zwiebel and others were not aware of this circumvention.
Just gave them the hint ;)

Anyhow, the CureRom shortcut is as good as a NOCD,
cause you only need the mini-image mounted.
Thats a good start at least...

Thanks again,
Juergen

I can't speak for everyone, but using mini-images is just as annoying as swapping cd's, so I don't really consider it a solution.

juergen 20-08-2006 12:13

... but you dont have to bow down and push the open/close button on your drive
and search the CD´s in your crowded shelfs ;)
Just click your mouse.

Ok, lets end this funny discussion.

My intended message to the crowd:

If you want to use V1.11.
Go ahead and do it, there is a way to play it without a CD.

(see post #213)

Thats the only thing my post wanted to say. :)

Hav fun with your game,
and leave the struggling to the politicians
Juergen

kokonut 20-08-2006 14:08

i guess this Reloaded guy does not see the need to bring it up to version 1.11 plus i did raise the game to version 1.11 with the step that people were giving here and there but the game crashed on me after five minutes.

Yes it would be nice to have a no cd for 1.11 but it ain't worth it in my opinion...i giess he is waiting for a more important release..and also imagine having to do a no cd patch for all the time a new patches comes out.

The problem here is that there is only a few people able to make those types of cracks..what we need is gather the know how on how to make those no cd patches some people could get into it and we would not need to wait for one guy to please a gazillion people..

we need for people who have info to start posting the process on how to make those cracks...if a person can do it then other people can make it too...

my 2 cents

DABhand 20-08-2006 14:54

And the same people will give the answer to that.

Cracking protections is not an over night thing, or a week, or a month, it can take years to fully be up to standards.

So if you want to do, go learn ASM fully. And then come back in a few years and try.

Joe Forster/STA 20-08-2006 15:33

Or concentrate on developing artificial intelligence instead. When you're finished, you'll just have to tell the AI: "here's this EXE, crack it for me, thank you!" and then you'll be able to crack anything in no time, like a conveyor belt... ;)

Until then, yeah, start learning stuff from the very beginning: ASM and OS API.

So give them both a try.

They are tiny to download, so its done in just seconds.

Try the bended one first ;)

GabriellTheArchangel 23-08-2006 00:22

Sooooo?

After all,the new cureroom works with it?

OneShooT 23-08-2006 13:39

Okey, you might call me stupid, but I got a problem. In my stupidity I managed to overwrite the original .exe file for Titan Quest without making a backup of the file. I don't want to re-install the game because of my saved games, or if there is a way to backup could you please tell me. Or it would work if any of you had the original .exe file and uploaded it to a ftp, I hope this would cure the disease of the game crashing when I try to start my level 20, 18 and 14 Char.

Joe Forster/STA 23-08-2006 15:03

I don't call you stupid but I call your attention to the forum rules! (E.g. install the game on another PC, get the original files, and uninstall it.)

Backup your \Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest directory and reinstall game to get the original EXE.
Or go to http://tq.demortex.com/index.htm and get SoulSeekkor's TQ Defiler to backup your char.

theholyone 28-08-2006 18:12

update to 1.15
the update is available in the game, they fixed a lot of crashes and now when u come out of cave game does not slow down on my 9600xt ;p but it still do so at bigger camps :)

cdkiller 29-08-2006 05:08

theholyone 29-08-2006 06:56

every blacklisters , custom loaders makes game crash, if u want play from backup u must use RLD crack otherwise game will crash every 20min

Zantetsuken 30-08-2006 11:09

I disagree.

Using CureROM's latest version, the game run without a problem for many hours.

I'm only using the mini-image posted on GCW, and CureROM's latest version, with no problems at all.

biglos187 30-08-2006 12:30

tet666 30-08-2006 13:22

I use AlkiSecuROM since release works fine with 1.2 ,never crashed.

acare84 31-08-2006 09:04

If you have crashes about this game, i am going to tell you a quick tip, update the game to 1.15 version and run the game with asr.exe then in the main menu press ctrl+alt+del and stop the asr.exe and play the game without crashes...

chron 31-08-2006 09:34

if you kill asr it will not restore the hidden/removed registry entries!

hexum 31-08-2006 09:51

i can verify that 1.11 does work with the method outlined in post #181

flawlessly!

now.. on to waiting for the 1.15 crack/method :)

iriss 01-09-2006 06:36

There you go:

Upgrade to v 1.15 (Windows XP)

Uninstall your Titan Quest. Delete the Titan Quest file and re-start Windows.

1. Install Daemon Tools (Daemon Tools Core Files (required) and Start Menu Shortcuts)
2. Right click Virtual Daemon Manager in Task Bar
3. Click Virtual CD/DVD Rom
4. Click Device 0: …..
5. Click Mount Image
6. Direct into the quest directory Titan Quest
7. Click Titan Quest.B5T
8. The Game should now open the Install page
9. Install Game as normal, entering the Serial number
10. Unmount the virtual Drive from Daemon Tools (right click Daemon Tools – etc. - Un-mount)
11. Apply Patch v1.01 to v1.08
12. Run Patch v1.08 to v1.15
16. Unpack the Mini-Image 2. This can be downloaded at GameCopyWorld (only use the Image
#2 NOT #3 as this gives you the black screen after the games Intro)
17. Unmount the huge TQ ISO and mount the TQ mini-image.
18. Run CureROM (I use v2033)
19. Click Next, Application Settings: Application: choose Titan Quest, click Next, Image Mounting: choose: use Daemon Tools, click Next, Click Next, Save, Next.
20. Use the new Application Icon on your desktop to start the game. Keep the Mini Image mounted.
21. Enjoy the Game! :D

I had no crashes so far!

Joe Forster/STA 01-09-2006 06:40

If I'm not mistaken, you're using a full image to install the game. Is there any special setting you used in Blindwrite when creating that full image from the DVD? Also, I don't understand step #12: Run Patch v1.18 to v1.15. Are you downgrading the game or is this a typo? :)

acare84 01-09-2006 14:47

This is complicated. I tell you a great and easy solution, install the game and upodate the game to the 1.15. Then right click the titan quest.exe and make the win 2000 compatibility then mount the mini image. Then start the Pr0t.St0p and hide virtual devices and run the game with asr.exe i am playing the game since 10 hours and there is no crash.
