ok, when do you set the affinity and how...?

All exes with 2187KB are already multicore / hyperthreading fixed, i found an older 1.33 one with 2188KB. Here, that is not fixed.Attachment 1372

In Task Manager you can set it.

well aware of the task manager thing blazi, but by then its usually too late (especially for this game) - usually for old games you have to launch suspended, set the affinity then resume, doing it via task manager is often too late

I'm unaware of how to set the affinity other than thru task manager, meaning the game is loaded then tab'd out affinity set, tab or click back in an start new game = crash.

However c.modes are switched on accordingly thru properties before anything is loaded.

Now to try out that rar from cow. (seems he misnamed the file.. i'll correct it tho)

Different address, but still the very same function (loading fonts) make game crash.

maybe run filemon / something to report file access on the machine then we can see the error, but i think its fair to say the error isn't with the crack, its something else, quite possibly even a corrupted file...

filemon = unknown command in dos, do u mean a program?

I got process monitor (previously called filemon) an woah does it have tons of stuff logged..

process explorer is ok too, you're looking for file access.. most notably file access which FAILED... to see if its actually loading the files... there is of course the possibility that some files are damaged.. but it works with the original exe and disk yep?

Yes the original exe + cd = game works fine.

I'm lost as to what to do with the program to give you the info you seek however..
