Here we're trying to find the way to run 1.08 version of G3. Everything's clear atm with earler versions.

either no one is making the no cd patch, or they are having a hard time getting it to work.

Razor1911 clearly stated that they will release an updated crack when there has been a more stable patch released.

Just put those .dlls in your gothic 3 directory with the 1.7 .exe no cd patch. It works for me, someone else lemme know if its working for them. So to recap 1. Download these http://www.gothic-3.ru/files/Gothic3_noCD_1.8.rar 2. Extract the .dlls to your gothic 3 directory 3. Use the 1.7 NOCD .exe I've scanned these with 2 different virus scanners. Someone else please scan them to make sure their clean. Welcome :) |
thx and respect for this finding. but I ran the game and experienced all those problems I had earler. Now I understand why Razor don't wanna make any actions with this version of G3... My piece of advice to all of you: wait for NORMAL game. You'll be only disappointed playing this shit...

And without the Crack, but 1.08 applied my Game won't even start. And with the above instruction it does...Hm, not so sure about that (<-working). But at least I don't have to reinstall again to play it :P

patch is same shit, just razor crack stuff, and 1.07 no-cd, effectively using it will make the game 1.07.. did noone else check this? ;p

You're right, but where's result of all other stuff? Look at the 1.8 patch's size and then find out the size of these files (remaining of 1.7). The last is just a small part of all the files that should had been replaced. Nope. 1.8 patch is not what we're expecting for.

without the 1.8 exe file the patch is useless. so you can't patch the game, then play with 1.7 exe file. you can, but most of the fixes won't be applied. So basicly you may as well play with 1.7 patch. or wait for a proper crack.

Ok, i have uploaded the 1.8 NoDvD patch, Complete with added tweaks and files that fixes some ingame bugs. I have tweaked the hell out of Gothic 3 and I can finaly play it with 1GB ram and a ATI X550 (entry lvl to mid lvl card ) with most settings on medium and my game hardly even stutters, just sometimes in the cities. Out in the open this game is smooth like a babies bottom. Inside you will find the following files : 1.8 scripts and dll files. 1.7 exe custom 1.4 shader file Custom animation files Custom G3.ini file Instructions : ------------- download the 1.8 gothic 3 patch. run the 1.8 gothic 3 patch. Download the no dvd patch from link below. extract nodvd patch to your gothic 3 folder, overwrite all files. play. Do the quality of the game will be lower with that patch, or it will be still the same?

Thanks raymerjacque. This also works with the german version. At least I assume it does. I installed patch 108 and the nodvd patch and the game runs. Dont know where you see the version number.
I think it has made an improvement but I didnīt have much time to test it as the main thing I was hopeing the patch would cure hasnīt and as before I had to stop playing after a few minutes. Dont know whatīs causing it. A few minutes into the game (up to max. 15 mins) black shapes appear and random textures become see through and certain graphics stretch......untill I cant make anything out. I had the same problem with another game, cant remember which. I thought it was something overheating so I installed sensors but nothing was showing hot. Any ideas to solve this would be great. Hehe, I dont believe in god either, just wanted to thank ya.
I tested it and it seems to work fine, performance does seem better. Boars are now easily dispatched although I did a little less damage to orcs which I can only assume is because the armor fix. Only problem is after killing the boars for the rebel camp, the game locked. Had to reboot my PC. I dunno if this is because of the crack tweaks or a game bug. Either way playing it was much more fun while it was working. Now I have need for speed carbon downloading (legally for those who would assume otherwise) so I don't want to risk corrupting the download with more crashes. I'll try it again after EA Link finishes its stuff. |

So, what is the Gothic 3 v1.08 (1.8.25817.0) [EURO] No-DVD/Fixed EXE which is to be find on GCW atm? Is this the same you uploaded here?
I downloaded it, but I am scared to try. Also the exe-Size/Date seems to be exact the same as the 1.07crack... |

just because it did not fix your sound does not make it a bad patch. It fixes the armor bug, it fixes the stun lock bug, it fixes bows and crossbows, as well as increase in performance and a whole bunch of other problems, it also fixes broken and bugged quests and npc's. I don't get why you would want to play on old patch ??

No, I changed my mind recently. I tried to play with the 1.08, but the Soundbug is so annoying, because much athmosphere is gone with stuttering birds/wind.
Also, I didn't encounter any of the mentioned Bugs (lucky me), and my sys is pretty High End, so never beyond 40FPS so long...I'm not playing with the old patch - I'm not playing at all... I'll wait for the next fix (German Forum says the two guys for the soundworks are on holidays till next week), so I don't ruin the game for me... |
