1)close Daemon tools and have no virtual drives
2) open curerom lite and enable it 3) run Daemon tools with every emulation anabled and mount ure image ( I use full image) 4) open antisecurom and choose the sweaw.exe file 5) play the game It dont work |

I've got the DVD version of the game, but the Spanish version one. I've tried everything u all posted here: cureROM, Alcohol 120%, DT, AntiSecuROM, and nothing worked for me. I only get it to work once, but i can't make it again. Is it possible that the guys of Lucasarts had put another protection in the Spanish version? I don't want to uninstall my Alcohol or my DT for just one game, as i use them a lot, although the game was a little bit expensive :p . Still no news of a noCD or noDVD fix? Wanna playyyyy!!! :D

I found a way to run the game without CureRom!
Try to use Pr0t.St0p! v1.0! Hide the virtual Roms! Then if you start the game it will be a message: "Original disc could not be found or authenticated." Dont worry, just try to start it again, and again! I can start it for 3-4 times! Good luck! |

Errormessage ???
I don't get an errormessage like "original cd not found" or " emulationsoftware detected". I get "A required security module can not be activated".
I'm not sure is this a standard errormessage means "You little a**hole put in your legally bought cd of EAW" or is there another prob with the installation or sth. Now it's important for me to know if can I solve the prob with the solutions posted in this thread or.....what else I have to do THX |

I used DT 4.03 (even tried 3.47 out of hope), CureRom 1.31, CureRom Lite, Prot.Stop, SR7.Stop, S4Hide(just in case), AntiSecurom, I've downloaded the mini image and mounted it instead and I've removed any traces of StarForce from the system by their own removal tool.
Yet I still get the "a required security module was found up in your ass" message. If that matters I use Windows Media Edition, not XP home or pro. Lucas Arts' technical support is not really a support and now I am unable to play the game I pre-ordered!! This is in a word bull... Any ideas what I should do (aside from waiting for a NoCD patch of course) would be appreciated... |

Hey Slon, thanks for giving me a hand... Yeah, the only virtual drive I have is the DT's, but I do have a drive to read all those memory cards & etc. so the drive letters are full up to K, with Deamon taking G; but I guess that shouldn't be a problem...
What did you mean by having an uncorrupted downloaded ROM? And when I re-install the game, should I mount my image with DT all emulations on, or would that change anything at all?:) By the way, the company that makes Starforce protection says that any time you run a game that uses SF the program will automatically install itself and then run the game, so that shouldn't matter. |

I have tried everything to get this game to work.
I figure ill just wait to get the no-cd crack. btw if you cpu is running slow run ad-aware.With mine it wouldnt let me into anything but now im fine i deleted that stuff and now i sit here waiting for the no-cd crack:D |

I can't provide help for the cd authentification errors, but I can help with those who have the "security module could not be loaded" problem. This has to do with files deemed eeviiil by the security of the game, and which are currently installed on the PC. I don't know which files are exactly to blame, but an issue to this problem is the following: 1) Log in to a new account (I use the guest account) 2) Mount your image file (I use the mini one, but the normal one should be ok) with Daemon tools v4.3 all emulation enabled. 3) Start the game with Securom loader. Works 100% of the time. Hope this helps ! |

1. Download Securom Loader 1.1 (updated 21/2/2006) 2. Mount mini or full image with dæmon tools v4.03, all emulations enabled. 3. run securom loader, choose sweaw.exe from data directory. no need to account switch. |
I used Game Jackal... Didn't use a profile map. During the "locate title" part I used sweaw.exe, NOT launchEAW.exe. For profiler mode, dynamic extended scan didn't work for me, so I tried Standard mode and it worked. Every so often, when I try to load the profile, it asks for the cd -- but then I disable the profile and try again and it loads the game up fine.
EDIT: Oh, and I have alcohol 120% and Daemon Tools installed with a virtual drive enabled and neither program is causing me a problem with Game Jackal loading Empire at War. |
Cornellian - i had exactley teh same problem but then i changed my virtual drive (f) to the d:/ drive and it has worked every time now:D

I installed the cd version and when trying to start, it tells mit the sweaw file is missing and indeed I cant find it in the gamedate folder... How is that? what am I doing wrong? |
reinstall the game and it should be there:)

i downloaded it, emulated on DT 3.47, DT 4.03. I used CureROM 1.3.1 and still not working. I tried use sd4hide and SR7.Stop_1.0, none works. I get "A required security module can not be activated". Someone have any idea to how fix it? again, sorry about my english. |
Try Pr0t.St0p, too (it's the continuation of SR7.Stop). Have you tried all the tricks in the FAQ?

ok, let me see again: i have the image of dvd version... i installed by emulated image (DT 3.47, all emulations on) i downloaded the mini-image "SWEAT_MINI_IMAGE.rar" i emulated the file "EAW_1.BWI" (DT 4.03) open the "Pr0t.St0p v1.0" clicked Hide... close "Pr0t.St0p v1.0" i try play. now i get "emulator detected" when i use the CureROM 1.3.1 (with DT 3.47), i get "the original disc cannot be found or identified" and i discover now the CureROM 1.3.1 doesn't detect DT 4.03... strange.. what can i do? |
