Access Denied
 

I noticed most people (or everyone) get their Football Manager 2005 copy to run with the mini-image provided on the website.
Well it doesn't work for me. And I don't know what the reason this might has.


When I mount the mini-image with Deamon Tools (or Alcohol 120% latest version), I am getting the following message when I try to run the game:

Access Denied:
Please login with administrator privileges and try again football manager.


But I am logged in with administrator!

Any ideas on how to fix this...? Any help would be nice.

Log Off from windows, back to the user selection screen and press

CTRL+ALT+DEL twice slowly, you will be able to input a username manually


Here type in administrator and log in, hopefully there wont be any passwords involved.

But it doesn't work. I have 2 accounts as active users; my personal account (which also has full access).

And the administrator account (which of course also has full access).

When I try running FM2005 on either one of them, they both result in the same error message posted in my previous posting.

So the offered solution doesn't help. :(

Then I cant think why it would give that msg if you have administrator rights, and even when using the administrator account.

Yeah I know... Very strange indeed... :S

If I recall correctly, I had this same problem ages ago. Don't know if I am correct. And I don't know which game it was or how I fixed it. :S

If anybody else knows how to fix this, please let me know.

You might wanna check your system against viruses and ad-ware; malicious software can cause pretty weird results! :(

thanx, mitsjel.. 1st try to mount the mini-image using daemon tools 3.47(latest ver) with fm2005 5.05(latest patch on si), and it works wonder! and now im off to con't wif my game :)

i downloaded mini pack, i installed alcohol and daemon, i mounted the file and i selected amulation from daemon and they said i still need cd

how you mount the file with deamon tools?

If you are getting "some weird stuff a folder with (fm2005)" you have mounted the mini image correctly and all you have to do is start the game!!

Did you install the full game? The mini image only works with FULL installation of the COMPLETE game.

Nope, some links to some of the mirrors are always working on GCW! Just be patient and try them all.
