hey khafan.. u were trying to tell me how-to patch nhl 2004 in another fourm... but the server went down so can u tell me how to patch nhl 2004? i tried patching the one .img.. but it says that the last time it was modified was last year!!

i read on another post on newz i belive that each game has only 1 id and this id would work for say ex: 100 pressed games they all have the same id as the one has any one confirmed this ?

Ive heard a report that someone was banned for " cheating " while playing socom 2. Dunno if this has anything to do with sony's efforts to counter this new dnas cracking.

im useing wimage u wont belive how ez it is to do with this prog u make a iso useing dvd decripter then u load winmage then open iso then u can do what ever u want to this iso just like if it was on ur hdd now u just look through the folders and find the dnas271.img file which it will stand out cause it will have a floopy disk icon when u find this click it and use the inject button at the top of the screen on winmage now u can put a new file in its place just put the patch file in place of the old one when done exit the prog and burn the iso its simple as that :)

just did socom 2 useing this methed its very ez to do and works great loaded right up on my magic 3.1 :)

Where do you get the patches. I have my ISO of FIFA 2004 and found the DNAS271.IMG

So where do you get these DNAS patches? Sorry if I've missed something here and it's already been posted. Just tell me what page and I'll look myself.

Plus, once you've patched it using WinImage, do you just burn back to DVD-R and it boots right up and you can log on, or do you need another app to boot up on PS2 before you can load the patched game?

umm... Inject doesn't show for me... :mad:

did you do this?

goto options->settings->image tab-> and check the "Allow updates to files in cdrom image.

Thing now is that it says it cannot inject DNAS271.nip as the image is full :(

after enabaling that option, you should restart winimage

Edit: I didn't notice that you are injecting the dnas271.nip file, you should inject dnas271.img file

It's OK. Got it done. Used Disk ID Patcher 1, extracted the IMG, patched it using the DNAS270.IMG option, typed in the disk ID and bingo. Injected the patched file and ready to go... Thanks a lot anyway... :D

have u tryed the game online yet ? and if so did it work?


im haveing trouble with the game trival pursuit its a online game and i load the disk with id check in my ps2 and get the id which is A2:F6:00:30:4C but when i try and patch it it wont patch it says its not a vaild key or some other error i tryed useing the letters O as zeros in it to see if maybe i got it wrong letters or #'s but still no luck this is the first i ever had problems with yet i have yet to burn a non working copy that wouldnt play online.

Not yet. just got BB and getting my N/A this weekend hopefully... Then I'll test it. If it doesn't work, i've always got my original - shame though, as I don't really like them out as they damage easily...

No there isn't a list you should look on your games yourself. Most European games have DNAS280.img.

I know that evo can get online with rainbow six 3 that has dnas280.img ,so it seems that theory is not completely true.

swapmagic or similar mods that dont mess with the BIOS will let you go online with the DNAS280 img files. you cant basically use the no swap mods. Sleep mode wont matter either.


has anyone done Metal of Honor:rising sun? im not finding the DNAS.img file. Also i checked NASCAR04 and it has the DNAS270 img file.

Get the IDs with the DNAS ID Utility it's simple as that.

evo doesn't use swapmagic, he went online with his dms3 & magic3.1 chip

MOH rising sun has dnas271 in this folder,
\MOHRS\DATA\ONLINE\IOP\DNAS271.IMG

So can i use the DNAS271.img file for every game that has that file? Of course changing the IDs to correspond with the correct game?

I just compared dnas271.img from NFSU, Socom2, MOH Rising Sun, SSX3 in WinHex and it says that "no differences found"
so you can use it for every game after patching with correct ID,
although currently we have two type of dnas280.img, the one that can be patched and the one that when you patch it, you get an error.

yeah my theroy about the dnas280 detecting mods was worng cause rainbow six 3 worked just fine on both my mods but i have yet to try a dnas300.img game.

i cant get no more ids unless they open the site back up or if some one else uses the id tool for the ps2 and gets some more ids

on newer online games there is a file called DNASxxx.img. By running the program called DiskID it will implant a valid key used by an original game in the DNASxxx.img file. When you reburn the game you replace the DNASxxx.img file with the newly revised one. That allows you to go online. its a pretty poor explaination, sorry....

so dnas is an online protection just someone told me diffrently

i just got champions of noroth rip to go online with my dms3 :) and its has 3 dnasxxx files on it it has dnas280.img, dnas280.img ,dnas300.img
