I also got it to work following those instrucstion, using DT 3.47. On step 1 I had to deny all permissions or it wouldn't work.
|
The deny permissions in the reg way does work.
I un-installed Daemon Tools & Alcohol 120%. I then deleted the reg entries for both under software. I also deleted all scsi port listings excluding the one(s) not related to either program - in the hardware section. Then I reinstalled 120% and ran the same procedure as mentioned above with regedit. Game started up. |
hi,
I tried all of your advices but my game still don't want to start without putting the CD in the drive. I tried the newest Version of Deamon Tools and mounted both Images. Then i used SR7.Stop_1.0. Than i used Anti-Blaxx_1.18 and selected SecuRom and the game and all that and tried to start it but it always says there there is the wrong CD/DVD insite.....what's my fault ?? |
E: How shall I rename the busdriver names? What should I write instead of the standards?
|
You can change the names of the bus drivers during the installation, I don't think you can change them afterwards. What to change them to? Any name should do. ;)
|
any name? like "aaaa" or something?
|
yes
|
but I used all mentioned tools but the game still wants the CD/DVD....I used the European Version 1.0..
What's my fault? |

To sum it up: 1. Fresh install of DAEMON TOOLS and rename the virtual drive (both names must be different from each other). 2. Go to HKEYLOCALMACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\scsi , and find your virtual device port number (there are usually 3 ports, and the virtual one is USUALLY number 3, it should read your virtual device name, if you named it "demon6", then you should see it there). DONT CHANGE THE NAME, just do the deny everything in permissions. 3. Do the same (deny everything) in HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\D-TOOLS. 4. Go to HKEYLOCALMACHINE\System\MountedDevice and rename the virtual drive letter (mine is G: for instance) to G:.Backup. Then the game will start. |
Only problem is - you lose your registrey settings AFTER a re-boot - or am I the only having this problem?
|
another issue with mounting the mounteddevices key... try this if you dont believe me...
if you (like me) have usb sticks/usb drives/firewire drives/network shares etc.. blocking the mounteddevices will make attaching any unit fail, so all in all messing with the registry i think is a bad idea as it could cause various system failures, anti blaxx got a lot of crap about causing system problems in the past, perhaps a lot of the blame was due to this 'side effect'... food for thought i think, if you are going to mess with your registry, make a backup first always, and if you are going to add in usb drives etc after playing the game or whatever, remember to unblock the keys ;) |
You can mess with the registry as long as you kow what youre doing, and you re-establish the previous values. If you comply with these 2 requirements, you will be more than ok.
|
isnt that what i said?;)
|
i dont get it
i denyed permission in the scsi the d-tools got alcohol removed! and the monuted devices renamed, and he saying that thing on the security module!. do i need the advenced options? in the permission denying? |
Security module msg appears when it has detected an emulation program..
Close Daemon and sr7stop so they arent running after activated. |
