We eagerly await to hear if this works....
|
Still waiting to hear from him. He wasnt online last night, but will post ASAP when I get the information.

Let's wait...

What I did was: Patch SH3 to 1.2, then restart for the Copy Protection to let me start the game. I mounted the Mini-Image, entered the vaild key and it said, that I should "insert the Disc in another Drive". Ok used Starforce Nightmare to disable my Drives and tried again. (Mini-Image mounted from HD). This time I get an "Read Error". Tried to mount from external HD and that didnt work either.
|
Oh god, lol
This is what he said. "I had to let the protection acknowledge my serial first, then after that I have been using my mini-image mounted from my SATA HD, with daemon tools with RMPS enabled and closed." 5 Minutes later "I forgot to tell you to make sure you rename all the default names daemon uses for bus names." LOL as I said hey hum, thats what he said, I think most have tried this so I dunno. |
Geforce Mx
I just purchase Silent Hunter 3. But I have a problem and the game work but the graphics sucks. I have the nvidia geforce 4 mx 4000, and for some reason the people are purple. Will anyone please help. Do I need a new VGA Card, or is there any patches that fix this?
Thanks........... |
I think the partial purple people you're seeing are because you enabled the Dynamic Shadows option in SH3's main.cfg file. Turn it off, SH3 doesn't support that, even if the option is in there. I guess they didn't had time to make it work properly, so it's kinda bugged.

Silent Hunter uses hardware pixel shading which MX cards do not support. MX card no good for SH3.

Sonar problems...
Hi there.
My sonar petty-officer doesn't always hear the the ships. When I'm in timecompressed mode, it sometimes slow down to 8x time compression. I guess that's what happens when the sonar guy should detect a ship. My problem is, that the timecompression goes down to 8x, which it should, but my sonar guy doesn't detect anything, and when I surface, I can see a ship though the binoculars. Has anyone experienced this before? And what should I do to fix it? Regards... |
Hi bruun,
1. Check out if this occurs with your original CD, without the no-CD patch; 2. Check out the official game support forum/page/FAQ, to see if this is a known bug in the game. Good luck, Joe |
Still sonar problems...
Hi Joe.
Thx for your reply. I use the dvd, not a no-dvd crack. I've tried to log on to the UBI forums, but they seem to be down at the moment. Can my sonar problems be related to my realism settings which is at 100% ? I know that this will reduce the effieciency of the sonar, but I don't think it should disable it... ;o) I can elaborate on my problem by saying, that when I have a visual on a ship, and then ask my sonay officer for a report on the bearing on nearest target, then he constaltly says "no sonar contact". If I then try to use the sonar myself, then the ship is loud and clear. Perhaps this can cast a more clear light over my problem? Regards... |
100% Realism?
At 100% Real, our crew ratings matter a lot!!
Even vetern crew acts dumb as they won't be... happy if they don't have a medal or promotion... I never tried 100%... I hardly reached ~60%... |
Sonar problems fixed...
Hi again...
I just want to say, that my sonar problems were fixed in version 1.2... No need for more advice. Thx again Joe for your reaction to my post... Regards... |
