Youre right O.K. but for me the crack is wonderful, because I waited 2 weeks to play the first time, and the first crack didn't work, the new one explicitly does!
I also don#t want a quarrel.
And if we weren't so unpatient, we should wait a couple of weeks, then several game updates and cracks will solve all our probs :) But by now, we are all only beta-testers....
( I have the damn original CD !!!!! Damn 45 euroes...)

It's not the first time SOULDRINKER has "stolen" a crack.
The file is really cracked by MYTH/DEViANCE . SOULDRiNKER is a "Warez-Release-Group". They take cracks and use it for their releases...

And now to the "Version-Number-Problem".

When i go here : http://www.ascaron.com/d/service/index.html
and then choose SACRED from the left drop-down-menu, i can download from four servers a "1.2.0.0.exe" !!!
So the version number 1.2.0.0 is correct.

Right, but when you look into the readme it says "Stand: 27.02.2004 Version 1.0.2.0"!

- the update file is V1.2.0.0
- the version number in the game is V1.2.0.0

- the version in the readme file is 1.0.2.0


It's 2:1 for V1.2.0.0

It starts the game in singleplayer issues and u can play on ur own in Multiplayer...

but connecting with others isnt possible with this crack...

dunno if it depends on this mysterious crack or the update itself... but I guess it must be the crack oO

for me it does the following:

I open Gameserver - one connects - my PC freezes right away
I open Multiplayer-Game - others cant find or cant connect to it

maybe it too crack related: Chests etc in multiplay are empty all the way...

Did you make sure to use the new base.dll as well? I had that problem too until I realized the DLL had been updated too.

the version if you patch with the patch file 1.2.0.0 is 1.0.2.0... i patched it, i used the original cd... and if you look down in the right corner and there is 1.0.2.0... that is the patched version...

so if the crack brings 1.2.0.0 there is definitly something wrong... maybe it works but in the original it is 1.0.2.0...

Yes, but the NPCs were only missing with Gladiator, with the Vampire-Girl they were there.

Patch v1.0.3.8 came out today! Guess it's 3:1 for v1.0.2.0 :)

Btw, today's patch filename was FUBAR again..."1.3.0.8.exe".
Dunno who's naming the files over at Ascaron, but it's definately a complete DAU.

if i got it right, the patch seems to look after virtual drives especially... i think ascaron states that people who have virtual drives or daemon tools installed cannot play after patching...

The crack is for v1.0.0.0.
 

I am sorry to dissapoint you, but I read the changelist in the readme file and it is stated that a Vampire that is exported when transformed into a vampire in v1.0.0.0 could not be changed back. However, this was fixed in v1.0.2.0. When installing the game, updating to v1.0.2.0 and using the souldrinker crack for v1.2, the bug mentioned above is still there.

Conclusion: Souldrinker did not only steal another group's crack. He also edited it so that people would think it was a crack for the new version. Hope someone cracks the new version soon.
