Except it isn't, but seriously I wonder how is it any different from just setting output directory to external device. Or if you're asking for the splitting thing to be completely removed, well that isn't a problem either, all you do is just set a volume size bigger than game, game will be converted to external device and no splits will be created. Done, this feature is already there.

Things get much worse if you're dealing with a solid state drive, because these tend to fail without any prior warnings whatsoever.

A cloud storage is a more robust solution, but seeing where Razor's from, I don't think that's a viable solution for him either. Telkom charges a limb or two for unlimited bandwidth, if I recall correctly.

Pity Razor lives too far from me. Recovering data off of dead hard drives is just a matter of few hours for me. ;) Granted, if I can manage a donor drive that matches the model that failed on him.

Well too late, I already opened the hard drive and extracted the magnet it had inside, don't really remember why I took it out though. :D

MANY thanks to Razor12911, Simorq, KaktoR anyone else who I may have missed, apologies for doing so. These new updates will surely help the conversion makers in achieving better results in the output area.
all files from posts 713-715 have been added to first post.

This update is buggy. Full of errors when I choose reflate/pzlib.

KaktoR 28-04-2017 08:43

What update you mean? Inno script or UltraArc?

And what error/bug?

PS: I can confirm with reflate there is an error "arc.exe has stopped working" if you compress multiple files (it seems).

I have compressed one single file (over 15GB) -> No error.
I have compressed a folder with over 1000 files -> arc.exe has stopped working.

To fix that, go to config1.txt and change -l9 to -l6.

Also pzlib don't work with multiple files. One file works, 2 or more files don't work (arc.exe has stopped working).

I don't have found a fix for pzlib until now.

Arc.exe stopped working

Edit: Thanks, I will try tomorrow and report back

KaktoR 28-04-2017 09:18

Read my previous comment if you haven't until now.

Have wrote a fix for at least reflate.
