Ok, can you guys tell me how you're using reflate with UA?

Well, don't tested it yet, but if i would bet, i would choose reflate+srep+lzma

:D I need an explanation on how you guys use this, like seriously step by step. Because when I made script changed also with the program, it worked on first attempt. I then uploaded attachments and then you guys started saying it isn't working.

Now i understand :D

Personaly i would think as always. Run UA, choose source/output, choose compression and then go ahead.

But, when this worked for you, can you post your steps, then we could see if we do something wrong.

Well I did say that the script has to be modified because the standard script is being updated all the time, but the standard script supports msc instead of reflate. What I said was the script had to be edited, kick out msc and replace it with reflate.

I guess pakrat has already tried that and nothing has changed. There must be no other replacements from "msc.exe" to "reflate.exe", or such functions by extracting? Or this goes to arc.ini? Don't know much about that.

Btw: Where is the modified UA with reflate? Can't find it in first post.

I'm new out here and downloaded this UltraARC but I'm unable to use this. It only stays in taskbar but no new window pops up. I've tried to open it by windows7 in compability mod (I use windows 10) but no success....what can I do now??????

nope didn't realize that I had removed it by mistake, now back in first post.
ive tried 3-4 different ways, compresses just fine, but gives CRC error on extracting any files using reflate option ( just selected msc,lzma set in ultraarc.ini ) then chose source & output. As I said before it compresses files fine, just cannot extract without errors :confused:

Or, Setup.exe has stopped working.

What installer is that?

MANUALLY edit ultraarc.ini, & remove the paths for source & output.
just looked at my installer & forgot to remove the paths when I did test run.
NO Issue with UA or installer, just Simorq cant even look at a simple notepad
document for something wrong.......
