Titan Quest update problem
 

Here's another problem I found.I have the original & the no DVD patch worked but then the game wouldn't let me have the update so I put the original exe back & it let me have the game update.So being clever I put the no DVD patch back in & guess what-the game crashed.So it was back to the original exe again & NO crashes.I also found the trainers I have tried wont work!.

Did any1 managed 2 get work the 1.11 patch?Cause 1.08 is still full of bugs and ain't really working..

yes, for me, none of the three mini images available on GCW work with the 1.11 patch and securom loader 1.2.
gonna try curerom later.

@emreggub: Using the crack for an older version with an updated game won't work.

just tried curerom 2.0.3.1 and it doesn't work either for me.
with curerom i get the "security module blabla" error message, while when using securom loader the titan quest.exe simply crashes after the disc verification.

It runs.

I just applied the patch 1.11.

It won't work with curerom or securom loader, but if u use these two programs at the same time, it works just fine ;)

I am using the original DVD to play the game & have the game update but I cant find a trainer that works.The last one I tried was the apache release.HELP.:mad:

You're gonna love the work-around for this. It's so simple that it's ridiculous.

Securom Loader (asr.exe) must not be in the Titan Quest folder.

I've already tried that, and the game crashes after 5 minutes (Data Verification).

i think we'll have to wait for either a reloaded crack, or a new version of CureROM

Simple as it is sounds...Make a cureroom shortcut and execute it with the asr file...it's working fine..

Something like that..It worked..But if it doesn't..Than u can try this too: Load fixed mi 3 from gcw to daemon 4.3 enable securoom option on and then load it tq.exe with secroomloader 1.2..It worked fine 2..:cool:

Hmmm, u can try to force it on the cureroom to win98 !!!

i've used securerom with windows 2000 compatability mode, and it worked for 23 minutes.

yeah, just updated to 1.11 and forgot to unload the image so when it started the game after the patching process i thought it had blacklisted daemon tools or asr.exe or something...

ive tried just about everything to try and get it to work again :/
looking forward to a way to get playing this thing again :D

im guessing we have to wait for a new version of asr or a fixed exe?

has anyone tried the burning with alcohol 120% as shown in the instructions of the download with RMPS enabled?

trying this at the moment, apparently its like having the original disk in?

Using the program ASR.exe as well as the DL version 4.03 of Daemon Tools runs v1.11 of Titan Quest easily.

Here's how it worked for me

1) uninstall antiblaxx – very important because its mess up your SecuROM
2) If you have any other virtual drive software like Alcohol 120% etc, disable any virtual drive and emulation option.
3) Mount the image with DAEMON Tools version 4.3.
4) Deselect any emulation option in DAEMON Tools.
5) Close the taskbar icon of DAEMON Tools.
6) Use SR7.STOP version 1.2 Beta to hide the virtual drive.
7) Close the SR7.STOP program - Very Importent
8) Use asr.exe –r option to run the Titan Quest.exe file

It worked for me

Copy Serum Loader 1.2 in other directory than Titan Quest. (Not in Titan Quest dir). Mount mini Image from GCW with Daemon Tools 4.03. Start Sercurom Loader und use Titan Quest.exe. Works fine for me with the newest update (1.11) without a crash.

totally pointless using asr + prot.stop, that has got to cause conflicts, why do prople just not decide to use one tool and not multiple tools that do the same things, as your report is useless, as you truly don't know what actually worked to bypass the emu check, thus helping nobody

tried the sr7.stop thingy, wasnt beta though it was just 1.2

after using asr.exe to run it just came up with

A required security module cannot be activated.
This program cannot be executed (12004).

i guess were just waiting for the fixed exe?

I never had the securerom in my Titan Quest folder. I am still unable to run it with the patch. I have tried running it with Curerom and I get the cd error. I tried it with SecureRom and I got in ONCE and it crashed in 2 mins. Any other advice would be appreciated.

ok, i´m german, so pls excuse my "speach". as i experienced the same probs and spend the whole evening finding a solution, i HAD to register, just to tell you what to do! (exept go out there and buy this game!)
i just finished one and a half hour of playing without crashing, so i guess "my" solution should do the trick...
here it comes:
- deinstall all that stuff! deinstall titan quest, deinstall cure rom, deinstall win-xp! (just kidding, keep xp!) don´t worry about your saves, i deinstalled a couple of times but my chars are still there!
- get yourself the latest daemontools and mount your tq-file
- install tq
- go into your games/titanquest (or whatever dir!) and rename the "videos" folder into whatever you like (skips the fu---ing non-skippable intro!)
- get yourself this "securom-loader 1.2" and put it anywhere you like EXEPT into the titan folder!
- rename this "asr.exe" into "explorer.exe"
start asr, choose "titan quest.exe" from your game dir and have fun!
easy, eh?




oh... i see...... forgot the cruicial part! the patch! do not, i repeat: DO NOT use the ingame updater! get yourself this 1.01-1.11 patch and patch manually!!!

this works just fine for me, i played all my former chars and got this nifty little "ver. 1.11" in my lower right corner of the startup-screen!

i hope i did a fair job explaining this in a foreign language and also hope all of you can enjoy this game...

tried, didnt work... maybe yours wasnt blacklisted? cause mine came up with exactly same error as before your fix.

@gabriel: i said "rename" not "kick"...:) i you want them, keep them, but i dont want to wait this couple of minutes til playtime... BUT: i dont know, if these videos are not need further in the game, so maybe it isnt wise to kick the folder anyway...

sorry... blacklisted? if you could give me some advise where to look, i can post my dt-settings, but as far as i know i didnt change anything except activate all "emulation"-settings...

oh... wait.... are you trying to do anything with that game online? maybe thats the thing... i forbid my "copy" ANY traffic with the internet...
