finally i dont know what i did but i got the game working
i downloaded the image again remplaced the exe with the oiriginal and mounted on daemon and it works

Change the Language
 

To change the installation language, copy the entire dvd to a folder on your PC. Open the Autorun folder and then open the autorun.cfg file with notepad. Scroll to the list of languages and simply replace the 0 with a 1 after the name of the language you require. Also replace the default language 1 with a 0. Save the corrected file. Install from the EA Autorun file.

mount an original image of the game with daemon tools,dont apply any cracks.worked perfect for me.if done rite you will be robbin banks and extorting local shops in no time.hope it works for you!!

Is there also a "real" mini image out for the godfather, because the one at gcw and others I found are maxi images around 2,64gb and that is a bit too large I think. If somebody has a link or something plz post it!

Read the FAQ and have Windows compress the maxi image for you.

it isn´t a demo exe. Godfather is Safedisc v4.60 + SDAPI (Custom).
the cracker coded an emulator to return valid functions. (same as FIFA and NBA 2006).
this leads to problems for some ppl i.e. can´t get out of car etc...
custom sd4 is a bitch... but seems like only EA Games are using it.

Im getting mixed views here. Some people are saying that this game works just by mounting the image and others say that you need sd4hide (or such like programs) so which is it to make this game work. I have bought this game off ebay, it just havent arrived yet so i cant play around with it to get it to work just now

I stumbled upon a more or less "funny feature" of the game.
When I first started the game w/ the GHC crack, everything seemed to be fine like NoCDs should normally be, but when I finished the character creation and was about to enter a name, it simply crashed to desktop, no error message or anything else pointing to the cause....
I tried it about 5 times, simply had no luck :(
So I did not even have those problems with controls etc.
Though I used a mini image then (so it can't be up to any crack at all, neither GHC or iND) the game sometimes just shuts down, similar to my problem after the character creation, I've had that 3 times, always during the last mission, when I already had finished a good protion of it (40 min) x(
Strange, this never happened during free drive, only while playing the last mission....

Hehe, uninstalled it now, made me fucking angry, but in the very end, I eventually won :P

:) Its a know issue, by using this english crack on a european game, player name dosn't work. For a French version, i have make a "transition file" to replace in "frontend_pc" folder, after replacing this file, you can write the name but the english game crack work unproper, you can't go out from car and have inverted mouse same as english know crack bug.

Don't use a crack, just mount image in demon tool 4 and nothing more, play have fun.

Computer shut down after 3D playing is a driver issue or last mission corupted game file or is possible you have not enough power from your power bloc :rolleyes:

hey lads i need some help i got this game (godfather) installed ok... when i go to run the game it gets the to EA screen (black background and the EA in white) it dissapears and nothing happens all i have is my desktop ... i meet the requirements and my Graphics card is the geforce Fx 5500 i have the latest drivers also yet it still dont work

all help would be great

are you a fool. NO WAREZ. You must own an orginal disc. Read the rulez, so looks like you will be BANNED. How stupid can you get of course you cant email the publisher (well you can but you SHOULD not), "yea like they will support piracy", maybe thats why they copy protect there games. It really p***** people off when we have to work to pay for our games and there's people like you that get a cheap copy, maybe you should do the same and BUY your games from now on

Even though you are possibly correct in assuming 'stevie_mfc' has obtained the game illegally, he has not specifically stated that. He may very well be referring to his backup copy.
But I do believe by the way he said "how we say....copyed" (should be 'copied') that yes he has obtained it illegally.

ive installed game with daemon 4 not added any thing to the .exe
it starts with a black screen with EA in it.
then it closes and i get and fault messange. in win xp.
if someone could explain some easly it would be nice.:) :)

Hey guys. I cant mount my image of godfather:confused:
When I mount the image of godfather it says insert disk. I tryd the German one and it said unable to mount image. File not acceseble.

Any conclusions? Thanks

Have you tried to install and play the game with the orginal disc, if so contact the publisher, or update your drivers

see you fucking plumbag i do work and very hard and iam dissapointed i bought the game as have wasted 30-40 fucking pounds ... so why dont you shut your trap and stop acting the hard man over a keyboard !

and also i have made a backup of my game and the orginal doesnt work either.....

something isnt adding up here....you bought the game and wanted to get a backup to work before the original....so i believe that you didnt buy this game at all!!!! just covering your tracks

and if you had the original why would you ask if you could contact the publisher....it has been mentioned serveral times about people contacting the publishers in this thread and formum....so you have just and only got a copy of this game

i didnt know if you contact the publisher after making a backup... i said i used the back up as this part of the forum is for games which have been backed up ?

there is no other way than this
to emulate gpdfather without mounting a 3.X GB image on your hard drive you must use "Game Jackal" i am using it and the game is working 100%
and by the way i have applied a money trainer on the game by mistake how can i remove all the extra money can anyone help me please??

just download a file named "MI-GTG" its about 1,4mb packed with rar.
unpack it and there will be 2 files. " mds and mdf"
open mds with daemon but unmout the image you used to install the game and load the mds instead.
dont add anything på the game..
that file unpacked shows 2,68 GB how thats posible i dont know..:cool:

Its possible because its just a mini image in reality...

The first 20mb or so are real...the rest is just padding (loads of zeros after the 20mb mark or so, this can then be compressed to a tiny size because its just that...nothing), since newer versions of SR7\SF\SD can recognise a minimage.

If any of you have problems with using mini/maxi images, read the FAQ. ;)

Don't know why, but the game only works for me if my desktop resolution is 1152x862. Anything else and it goes back to desktop after EA logo.

I have the mds mounted with DT4, all emulation on.

Well, my experience with this game is the same as the others.
My original works fine, but the copy had the problem with not being able to get out of cars.

Today I tried something different. I replaced the "T" key for action/grab, for the "return" key, maintaining the "space" key as well.

Now I can get out of cars using the "return" key. No problem whatsoever.:)
The "space" still doesn't work for getting out of cars, but the "return" key does.

I'm enjoying very much the game. Others can try this and tell if it works for them.

i have a crack that works for me,i"d like to post it on gamecopyworld but i dont know how to,you just put it in daemon,run sd4hide use the original exe desktop shortcut and play the game,block all internet access and it works great,no problem with inverted controls or getting in and out of vehicles,stole a car at the end of the alley mission with luca brasi took out to guys talked to him till he told me im on my own stole a car drove to the house got out fine and saved it,i think its worth a try for anyone whos having troubles with it working properly,if there is anyone who can tell how submit it to gamecopyworld i'd appreciate it and i"m sure others would to if it works as well for them

That's not a 'crack' that's a mini-image as it still needs the original EXE to run! A proper 'crack' needs no images mounted and replaces the original game EXE!

it doesnt matter crack or not it works,The Godfather The Game [PCDVD][English].mds-29.7mb.its not the same one as posted on gamecopyworld,and everything works great,if no one wants to try it fine but it works great for me none of the probs ive heard over and over on all the forums in and out of cars and the mi-gtg errors from the fixed image 1#.
i just thought with all the problems and bugs everyone has been having it would be worth a shot,who knows it my be the answer it is for me

The technical name is a mini-image and not a crack, a crack is when the coding is manipulated to work a certain way.


You shouldnt take what is said to heart. View as a bit of education :)
