how you should create a working alcohol image:
simply use the image assistant - then choose your dvd drive, "ignore read errors" will be set by default i think. you do not need to set the DPM measurement, did not work for me anyway when i tried to create a image with the use of it, nothing happened so i just unchecked it. so just unselect that one and create an image. worked for me together with the tetris prog. |
You can also make a mini image instead use an whole image of the game or a backup dvd ! You just need to start to make an image with alchool (look bierhuettl post) but abord operation after few seconds,and click on "no" to keep the files created.Now you can load this mini image into a virtual drive,and use tetris.

Ok, the tetris driver installs fine, but when i reboot and run the tetris program again, "Mount" and "disable" are greyed out. My dvd image mounts fine, but there is no way to mount the tdf image from gamecopyworld.
Why is this greyed out? (Its like this even when Fahrenheit is uninstalled) -Z |

does anyone know how to change the cd/dvd rom that the game uses? my dvd is in E: but the game looks for it at D: and yes i installed the game from the E: drive p.s.: i couldn't find a line for the drive at fahrenheit.ini |
how do you know the game looks for the D: drive? cannot read something like that when i get my "please insert fahrenheit dvd" message if i do not insert the original dvd :rolleyes:

Ok.. so I've made an image of my original disc with the correct name. I installed the Tetris driver and rebooted. I mounted the image using Daemon Tools. I mounted the .tdf using tetriscpl.exe. Then I attempt to run the game. It thinks for a bit and returns the error "Original disc could not be found or authenticated."
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? |
hmm isnt that msg a securom message.. scan the exe with protectionid, see what it reports, if it reports unknown prot or whatever then we can guess its tages

GOd damn, the game is not running. ALways PLEASE INSERT DVD. THis READ.NFO is not good. THe instruction Sucks. Even PAtch is f*** no good.

Hey Tippex, I tried using ProtectionID and scanned the exe.
"Suspicious MZ Header.." Also, as an update to my previous post, I've also tried using Alcohol 120% now, and it still gives the same error, "Original disc could not be found or authenticated". |

If it actually works, I would much like to have a mini image of game. My dvd rom is on the fritz atm. I think it just took one too many slow burning sessions... :(

Yeah the tetris emulation crack works.
loads the game way faster aswell i had a slight problem though i got a CALL STACK ERROR when saveing the children from the bunker...... dont know if this is down to my system or the crack but so far up untill that point the game played perfectly. i will try again later today, just wish there was a better crack *NO DVD* comes to mind. :) |

Hi all, been reading all the posts about this game . Personally i think the game has a good idea but the visuals are dated ( atari, see driver 3 also ) which somewhat spoils the gameplay . I found it very frustrating to play and after an hour of playing uninstalled it !
I feel sorry for the folks that have stressed themselves out trying to get around the copy protection just to play a game that could have been something special but isnt. each to their own. |
I haven't read all the post, but I agree with the one who says that the introduction for the crack or whatever it is from gamecopyworld SUCKS.
Is someone able to explain it better, so I'm sure I haven't made a mistake? thx PyroX (sry for my bad english. I try my best...) |

The "Inactive" flag will change to "Active" when you mount the FULL Fahrenheit DVD ISO with Daemon tools, as well as having the TDF image mounted in Tetris.
The game will work then - it certainly does for me. |

Hi all,
Ive just downloaded this game twice now, /sigh, anyway i have the English version and i've seen a few have the inactive error that im getting, My download came as an installation, not a single iso, i have heard that of you mount the .iso with daemon and the run Tetris the game will work, Now for the noob question, how can i make an .iso out of the full installation i have?> this is my Farhenheit download Hope u guys can help me out, [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...1/untitled.jpg[/IMG] |
That looks like it *is* an ISO - you're just viewing the contents with WinRAR by the looks of it. try mounting the file you downloaded with Daemon (Fahrenheit.iso)

I try now to mount the .iso image and leave the italian version. If I'll not reach my objective I'll try to re-install the game in english language! I have then a profile to change the language after installing the game. May the force be with me :)
