I unplugged the drives, haven't tested with the use of starnightmare, and then used the mini image from the link.

Now, i've also tested the game without unplugging and using the starnightmare instead. And it doesn't work. Starforce says, you need to put the cd into another disk. So, i can only play when the drives are unplugged...

Did you use Deamon Tools or Alchol to mount the mini image?

How can I unplug the drives?In BIOS?Because with starnightmare it doesnt works.Or can somebody make some screenshots,so that I can see where my problem is?

What do you mean by diableing NODE?

you disable nodes in starforce nightmare by pressing a proper button

Probably the CD-key doesn't match the key encrypted into the CD image. (Are we talking about Starforce 3 here?! I don't have this game.) I read on this forum that ISO Directory (search for it on the Web or send me an E-mail request) can extract the CD-key from Starforce 3 mini images.

We're talking Starforce 3 here yeah :p

But during the instalasion I didn't use any cd-keys, so I don't think that can be the answer.

Do the Mini-Image only work for RadSport Manager??
or do it also work for Pro Cycling Manager in English or Danish??

ok, i did everything you wrote, now the starforce protection system opens and says that i should insert the disk "cycling manager 5" into another drive. will this work if i unplug my cd/dvd-rom drive?
(you can also pm me in german)

you have to unplug them...not disable them with sfn :rolleyes:

Ok just to be clear here, cause I cant get it to work either.

I need to skrew open my case, and unplug both my DVD-writer and CD-ROM, after turning the power off ofcourse, just to play this game?

So every time you want to play this game, you need to do this?

I've read that there's also a way to disable your drives in your BIOS, but what do I have to disable?

If your CD-Drives are plugged to the second IDE Channel so you can yust turn it off in your Bios. That works if you have one or 2 HD plugged to the first and your other one or 2 Optical Drives 2 the second IDe Channel.

ok, after unplugging the drives the game finally works :cool: , but why does it crash in some moments? i play a career and it always crashes at the same moment after playing for a while!!
which patch is it that must be installed? 1.1r?

My game still doesn't work!

First I have installed the game from the original cd.
Then I mounted the Mini-Image in Deamon Tools 3.47.
Unplugged my CD drive. And disable node in Starforce Nightmare.

But I can't play the game...

What have I done wrong??

Do you know what I need to turn off? My drives are in the 3rd IDE master & slave, but it's not like there's a button saying "turn it off" :rolleyes:

@sparood: Most PC softwares are not prepared to handle "non-standard" devices: non-IDE ones (SCSI etc.) or devices outside the primary and secondary IDE channels (IDE channels 3 and 4 on RAID cards etc.).

i had a problem...

i have done the whole thing like you say, but now starforce want a "Disc Key"
from me. but i don't have one... i search google and the board, but i don't find anything... can somebody help me?

Mini images, available on GCW, have their respective CD-keys removed on purpose. Sorry, you'll have to get them from another source.

i wanna tell u how got this game to be run.

firstly, i have installed the game
then i patched it with the version 1.1b
after this i pulled off the powercable of my CD/DVD drive,
but DO NOT pull off the IDE-Drive cable, otherwise I can't run the game.
If u had done this step, u must take a virtual drive (in my case it was Alcohol Virtual Drive) an load the Mini-Image (Proper.working.nousb....and so on).
and now i can play the game.

Alcohol-Version : 1905 (build 2802)

but i don't have my mini images from GCW... i have it from that chinese downloader...

eigentlich benötigst du kein cd-key...klickst du auf wiederholen wenn der starforce-schutz fehlschlägt? wenn ja dann fragt er dich nach dem key

almost u doesn't need a key. pherhaps u repeat the check-routine, after this it wants a key.

r1ddl3, requesting CD-keys, for any reason, is against the forum rules.

Which file do you use to run the game..?

If I use the file on my harddsik (C:\Program files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager\Cym2005.exe) I can't play the game because Starforce say: Failed to identify the disc in the drive. Insert a licensed disc.

If I use the Autorun from the Mini Image nothing happen...
