some solder mods will load online with copy games :D i belive dms3 will load nfsu on the net

i talked to someone with a Magic2 (which i also have) and he says he can go online with backups and originals. I dont see how that happens when i try an original game online i get the 403 error. So i dont know how he is doing this, unless he added a switch.

I hope they figure something out so we can continue to use the noswap modchips. but if i have to i will go with the no-solder type just to play online.

Im still trying to figure out what and how what programs to use. I have used cdmage and ultraISO to patch the img file without any luck. I used dvd decrypter to create the ISO file and burn again without any luck. what are you guys using and how? thanks

The magic 2 guy is probably talking about old ps2 games that dont have DNAS.

yeah it's funny, with original disk, dnas detects your modchip but with patched game , it can't see your modchip :)

forget about ultraiso, you need cdmage & cd/dvdgen. cdmage opens only ISOs larger than 4GB (socom2, MOH Rising sun) and for other games smaller than 4GB, you should rebuild the image with cd/dvdgen.
you should patch socom2 only with cdmage otherwise you can't get pass dnas checking.

lol need for speed undergound works lol im useing a copy online and a dms3 loaded just fine :) i knew they could do it with the patchs :) alot of people on newz said it wouldnt work due to this and that lol but it works great i might not even have to use swap style to play online.

others are saying another good program is WinImage. they had good success with it.

i just loaded both lotr rotk and nfsu underground copys online with both magic 3.1 and dms3 seems like when u use a copy it dose not detect the mod chips :)

right whats the ps2 cd-dvd generator do and how does this stuff work? and how do you hack dnas?

but u do know if sony some how black list the ids that we used theres going be alot of PO poeple that owns the origianls or rent the origianls that has them ids on it and they can repatch all the old games but if they do update it someone will just crack it again :D the nerds over at the ps2 fourms all alrdy going loco over this lol

they cant blacklist the IDs. the games have their own IDs, like NFS underground will have an ID which is the same ID for every game. SOcomII is a game where it has multiple IDs. What i dont understand is how poeple are going online with modchips on and they couldnt with the original game? thats

i read the dnas271.img on the iso dose not check for mods but the dnas280.img checks for mods so games with 271 will not detect mods but 280+ will heres the post i read this on



Actually word is 271 and below work fine with anymod but 280 and above do not. So if has anyone tried a 280+ with a mod. I know RE outbreak is 280 JAP.

have u made patchs yet ? i can get u a step by step guide by that as well but heres how to patch the game u no longer need cd/dvd gen i have yet to try this but kahfan said it works :)


get winimage6.1 from here,

run it and goto options->settings->image tab-> and check the "Allow updates
to files in cdrom image."
by enabling this option you can inject files to game ISO

now make iso from game disk with dvddecrypter and open the ISO with
winimage,
goto the folder that DNASxxx.IMG is located, now press inject buttun(it's
the 5th buttun from left),
browse to patched DNASxxx.IMG file, it first prompt you " do want to inject
1 file ....." choose yes,
then prompt you " do you want replace file DNASxxx.IMG " choose yes ,
exit winimage without need to save anything,
burn the iso.

ok..i made an .iso with dvd decryptor. i opend it with winimage. i cant find the dnas files. i found 2 .img tho.. i dont know what u guys mean? should i already have a file on my puter that is a dnas? how do i make one? sorry guys but im lost!!

also even if i use one of the files i found in the game dvd files then i need to inject sumthing into it? what do i inject into it?

You're supposed to have it on your DVD or in your ISO file it's called DNASXXX.img. If you have the original DVD you can get it from there. If you want to get it from the ISO you made you should get ISOBuster or another proggy that can open your image file. Then just patch your extracted DNASXXX.img with the ID and put it back in your ISO file with Winimage and it's done.

when i use dvd decrypter or PrimoDVD to make an ISO file it names it DVDIMAGE.iso. So when i use either of those programs to burn back the iso file, it burns the DVDIMAGE.iso to the dvdr instead of the individual files like it should. What am i doing wrong?

where do u get the patchs from?

If you're working with DVD Decrypter you should first put the 'Mode' > ISO read then when you patched it up you should do 'Mode' > ISO write. I always use Alcohol120% to burn it burns any image file.

You gotta download the DNAS Patcher from their site. There's a new one too i see, so you don't have to work in DOS anymore.

yes on DVD Decrypter i change it to ISO WRITE when burning the iso file on a dvdr. But it ends up being the DVDIMAGE.iso file

Did you change any other settings on your DVD Decrypter? Maybe that could be the problem. Like i said, i've never used it to burn any image file.

use nero to burn i dont trust anything else.

Do you have any other programs then DVD Decrypter or PrimoDVD? Like he Nero burn images too. Or Alcohol 120%. How did you burn the Disk ID Utlilty? There was a tutorial how to burn it with Nero or Alcohol120%.

Anyone tried to go online with a DNAS patched game w/Messiah 1? Certainly save me having to dig my originals out to play online...

Yeah i've read a list with succesfull gameplays one was with a messiah1 ive put the list in a txt file. or you can check the link with more info.... hmmm strange the site is down lol

Yup the disk ID you find when you put in the DNAS Disk ID Utility in your PS2, load it up change it with the original game and press X. Or there' are some ID's in the list with games that worked.

I have V5 pal with messiah1 and I play fifa2004 & NFSU online with no prob.

And then starts the never ending cycle of hacker verses industry, it will be like the satellite TV hackers just when they get it worked out....BAM! The next day you’re with out TV until you get your card reprogrammed. Same thing will happen here, Sony doesn’t care if you have to re-burn your online back-ups every couple of days, its not their money your spending on blank media.

First I test the games with their IDs and when I make sure that everything is ok, I used my own ID to be in safe side ;)
btw I test the games on TDK 4x DVD+RW, so no coaster factory in here :D

u goto ps2nfo.com look up all regions id post thats a stick u get the codes there if u have a game that has no idea there i can get u the prog that u burn to disk and run in ur ps2 to get the code off the disk i can email it to u iff u need it its very ez to use :)
