When I run it, nothing happens. I get the Windows hourglass, but YASU doesn't actually start up. If I look in Task Manager, it's just there, as a memory hog (90+% of CPU). I have put all the files from YASU.zip into DAEMON Tools in Program Files

Try again with YASU.exe from official sources: v1.3 / v1.4

Also, use FileMon and RegMon from http://www.sysinternals.com to see what files and registry entries YASU accesses (tries to access?) before it gets into an infinite loop (?).

YASU 1.4 always worked, it was 1.3 I had trouble with, Zulu's link worked, but even with YASU 1.3/DT 4.06 I get 'Conflict with Emulation...'.

DAEMON Tools lite 4.11 has been released today.
Using that there won't be any conflict anymore. Of course you still need YASU.

I tried DTL 4.11 with YASU 1.3, didn't work. Turned Securom on in the DT options, still nothing. Tried YASU 1.4, and still I get 'Conflict with emulation software detected'. Turned everything on in DT, and STILL it won't work!

I found out why 1.3 didn't work, anyway:

1.3 (build 7071)

* Fixed bug with AMD processors, caused an infinite loop.

Something else must cause that message on your rig; i'm sure it's not DT or YASU.
What kind of image do you use now ?

P.S. You never need to check emulation options when mounting images. They're only needed for burned media.

Do you get "Please insert the original disc instead of a backup (1000)" OR as you wrote something with emulation detected ?

Yep. I found PowerISO running in the background. DT 4.11/YASU 1.4 says 'Wrong disc inserted", same with YASU 1.3

Also, the new MDS file just does the same

for me DT 4.0.6 + Y.A.S.U. 1.4 works partially.
The game starts but when I click the green arrow to move on in time, it does not work. :(
Someone who has a solution? Tested many combinations of DT + YASU but all with the same result. Also tested the image posted here...

I don't believe such an ingame issue is anyhow related to the fact someone is using a mounted image.
Have you verified that same thing doesn't happen with original disc, too ?

Yes, I tried.
With the crashing exe from GCW it worked fine, too, but it crashed. :(
Only with the image it does not work properly.

it seems that you are using the 40MB no-dvd crack
it was released as the no-dvd crack for 1.1 but it was a wrong release

be aware that filemon and regmon will most likely (for safedisc and securom i think) cause another Security module error when trying to launch the game...

and, rebooting is the only way to fix that (and then not loading filemon/regmon again obviously)...

mdf and mds must have same name, e.g. MANAGER08.mds + MANAGER08.mdf

If the MDS-file is only of "average" but not of good quality an image sometimes works, and sometimes it doesn't which results in error 1000 message. There are also seldom other reasons for error 1000, but i guess it's just coincidence it didn't occur before Patch 2.

After you clicked Ok, don't you also get "Conflict with emulation software detected" message ?
Because afaik all virtual drive versions of DT incl. 4.11.1 are blacklisted.
Latest Alcohol 120% released yesterday doesn't have a newer virtual drive engine ... it even uses an older one than DT 4.11.

Only working method that i know is burning a RMPS copy with Alcohol 120%

but the link has only 1 file
should i have the other on my pc ?

this always used to work till patch 1
