What you're doing wrong is not reading the .nfo file of the crack and the FAQ.

I found that, with the crack, when you start crashday, it just opens up a window (as if your playing a modern game but in a window) with blackness in it, you can still hear the sound

It certainly is NOT an MS-DOS box.

All you need to is wait about 1 min, then press ALT-TAB to switch it back to giving it windows focus a couple of times then you could see the graphics...

Then press ALT-ENTER

This will make it full screen

I still had my MSN icon flickering through the window, just setup the graphic options properly in the game, exit

Restart the game and everything is :)

If you are having trouble starting the game, try adding this switch to your shortcut command line; -skipvideo

Maybe that will help. It skips the intro videos.

I didn't get the game work either and haven't found a working crack for it so could someone please do a really working crack for this game.

AntiSecuROM doesn't work with crashday v1.1, looks like its blacklisted or just can't bypass the new securom version if it has been updated? does anyone know where AntiSecuROM came from and who made it?

The "homebase" is daemon-tools.cc, but i'd have to guess who's the author

1.0 crack work after update 1.1
 

After update 1.1 Reloaded 1.0 NoCD works fine for me, just copied to the game dir and renamed the original as old 1.1.
Not running any crap like curerom, it runs proper without the disk.:)

The question is if it is the 1.1 version if you use the 1.0 crack?!?
Is the game still stable, because the 1.0 version isn't really playable (the game idea is great but I thought that I'm a beta tester after playing 1.0)?

Now in 1.1 the situation is better, I'm happy that I didn't waste my money....

eh? thought its a securom game, starforce in your copy, how odd.

Different regions have been known to have different protections sometimes.


But its also a possiblity that PiD made an error and reported it was SF3.7 and not Securom.

think i'd rather have securom than starforce though :P

nah, thats not possible to detect SecuROM7 as SF3 ;)
also it´s aray-scanner output, not PiD.

sf3 example scan:
- check .sforce is present
- is file a dll ? -> check version or report SF3 wrapped dll
- check for push xxxxxxxx & call to VM at EP
- some more checks

crashday EU version is SF 3.7, US is SecuROM 7

At least german and UK versions are protected by Securom 7; i guess nebbia88 can tell which version uses Starforce

Cant run this game without a CD in the drive !!!!!
I used both the 1.0 , 1.1 versions with the crack but nada..
Anyone had any luck with this game ?
