and what does emulation constitute?

A working backup doesn't mean 1:1!

1:1 is an exact (bit by bit) copy of the original. twinpeak (etc.) is just fooling/reproducing the protection, that is not 1:1.

So a 1:1 doesn't necessarily mean a game that runs without crack/emulation.

Emualtion becomes necessary, when the "fooling" techniques don't work......

although this is a copy protections forum i think that this could be our open to any matter topic...huh?
