stealing? Are you kidding me?. corepack have a site and offer ilegal copies and foment the piracy.

Off course but that doesn't even mean that you (not you actually) start stealing from the illegal people, "stealing" is "stealing", no matter you steal from a good guy or a bad guy. And BTW, even you know that 99% or at least 90-95% of the people, even here download pirated copies of games, if not all games, then most of them for sure.

Its nothing about "hacking" LOL, he is using a simple software to see the pass, even I can do that.

What is the Fitgirl method of repack or how to know the password ?

Guys there is no 1 method to repacking when it comes to fitgirls repacks.Different games different encryptions.different methods to unpacking different large pack files and then repacking them ,also requires the correct md5's.different compressions for different types of files.i have said this before research different file types and how different compressions affect the final compression.

there is no best version of srep and precomp or 7zip its understanding the file types for that title.You might only need srep for a title then next you might need srep uharc precomp.

You also need to sort throught all the different file types to use certain compressions on those and the next set can use something else.

So time to forget the best method that repackers use,there are tons.even if you have all the repacking tools you still need to understand how to apply them.

From a week I have been searching to understand the compression algorithms and parameters, and then stumbled on those site, it's origin, where it all started :) hope this helps.

Same problem with the far cry 2 repack by corepack, cannot compress to that much, 1.9gb. I can make it almost 2.14gb using srep+lzma, coz the files doesn't have zlib streams

@Viper645: Check compression ratio, not final size... I bet they might have removed something or degraded video quality... When ot comes to corepack, it is about rips not repacks.... Useless corepacks...
Fitgirl repacks are good but Installation sucks... it sometimes take ages to Install...Inorder to save few Mbs FitGirl repacks take hours to Install and almost use all resources for doing the task....

That's why I always avoid this repacks, and I always make my own repacks to save my disk space.


And Viper645, you should check freearc's max compression, that makes fc2 2.08gb, smaller than 2.14gb
