adamee007 22-09-2012 03:55

Thanks for the fixed autorun. Now I have a new problem. I made the conversion (installed game + update III) & copied the video files and that is 4,44 Gb and don't fit on my dvd. What's the problem? It's possible to cut off from video files?

Did you use new compress.bat?

if not, delete Data4.bin file from Darksiders2_DVD5\Darksiders2 folder and the launch the new compress.bat from conversion folder.

For your version the media\sounds_streamed\PC folder contents should be as below:
Code:

core.pck
dlc1.pck
en.pck

Question-

Hey there .......i want to ask sth.So tell me am i wrong anywhere or not[quick you know]..
1. Install the game+ update 4.
2. Delete uninstall files(both) from game dir.
3. Extract 'DS2_1xDVD5.7z' contents (not in game folder)
4. Replace compress.bat and setup.exe of above with fixed one attached below in 1st post.
5 .Launch Compress.bat & wait...
6. Move/Copy from game's folder to 'Darksiders2_DVD5\Darksiders2' folder :
Code:
'video' folder
7. Burn or make iso with label name of your choice.

Will size be of 1xDVD5 or not ?

Not enough RAM/HDD space maybe?

pakrat2k2 08-11-2012 19:13

screenshot also tells you to change the lc8 to lc or ld to limit memory usage. so edit the compress.bat & change the lc8 to either just lc or ld, see if it works fine then.

also turn off everything you can when running the compression... dont d/l anything, turn off screensaver etc... just have the bat file running & turn off everything else, let it run overnight.

This error

You need at least 2gb of physical ram, freearc in the last conversion uses 1635mb of memory compression otherwise the game doesn't fit on dvd5 with all updates & dlcs.

If your conversion doesn't include "The abyssal forge" dlc you can decrement the amount of dictionary (e.g.) :

Code:

lzma:a1:mfbt4:d158m:fb273:mc1000:lc8

to

lzma:a1:mfbt4:d128m:fb273:mc1000:lc8

Now freearc will use ~ 1300 mb of memory compression

Keep in mind, more memory used= more mb gain :D

dani_ell 09-11-2012 04:36

Thanks, I'll test on another computer, but the computer screen with this XP SP3 and 3.23 Gb of ram

Multiple apps opened consume resources and memory, close them and then begin the compression, the ram is never enough!:D

Take Redistributables folder from this archive and then put it on DVD root:)

MisterManiac 11-11-2013 13:24

Hey, i'm almost ready with the installation and i finished step 1 to 3 yet, but I dont understand what I have to do with the cmd file. The installation is searching für a Data1.bin file, but the file isnt in one of the files I loaded down.
Would be nice if someone could help me :)

pakrat2k2 11-11-2013 13:41

of course it isn't, you need all 3 files from post #1. The first is the original archive set, the second file is the compress.bat which need if you've updated game or not & last archive is updated autorun file which is used after you've done the conversion.

run the compress.bat and then you end up with data1.bin after its compressed your installed game files.

MisterManiac 11-11-2013 13:47

ok,but i dont know how to use the compress file, wich folder do I have to write there, because it doesnt compress anything
sorry, im new, i dont have much experiece whith such things, hope you can help me ;)
I have downloaded the other files and I have a game file

MisterManiac 11-11-2013 13:53

When I start the compress.bin, the cmd wants me to fill in a game file name, when I fill in my filename, the cmd "says" press a varios button, and the cmd closes, what do I have to do know, could u help me pls

pakrat2k2 11-11-2013 14:02

well step 1 is install the game !!! this conversion doesn't use iso file...

then when you run the compress.bat you type in where you installed the game, it then compresses the files & gives you the output files data#.bin etc.

MisterManiac 11-11-2013 14:21

So, did the installation, but when it finfished with 100% the installation assistant says it needs a disk with the file data1.bin, where do I get that, becuse when I start the compress file now and type in the gamefile name, nothing happens
