peterf1999 the game freeze on max payne 3 first enter and not move a long time there
|
YOUR playing the game issues have NOTHING to do with the conversion. Go to the games forum and read there.

made the conversion, reinstall from dvd5 conversion, did you reinstall files from redist folder too... If you didnt then it didnt install Rockstar Social Club, unless you had that option checked off during reinstall.

Hi Peter. One quick question: I finished the game and I'm about to convert it so I can burn it. I will use first post guide with new setup exe (it's already updated to .22). Using this new setup.exe will I be able to apply future updates to the game if the come out?
Kind regards and thanks in advance! |

peter, it seems you are refusing to share your latest scripts, many people would like them for games that no one here has released conversions for and for different projects such as game collections and the likes, come on man, just share you talents with the community in a way that we can utilize them for all sorts of things, no just one single game. |

thank's for helping |
figured you missed something, glad you got it working :)
|
please 5xdvd5 with original setup only removed foreign languages and recompress cabs
|
Peter, i have been monitoring resources consume while compressing the game and have notice that the process to compress dont use RAM at all; that can delay the compress for a looongggg timeee.
Have verify the arc command on the batch and is confused hahahahaa; compare it whit a 7z command and you can see that Arc commands are on chinese!! So, theres a way to modify the commands line on the batch to make it consume more RAM? |

this game is just not worth compressing.
3 hour install? WTF ?! time is money, and it would be worthwhile to just burn this on 4 dvd9's. |
Thanks Peter! Tested & Working 100% under w7x64.

Thank you for your work peterfi1999, but there are two problems:
Installation is 2 hours is completed. Correctly installed. 1) When I log in to existing RGSC profile, I get this: http://elitewarez.biz/ewtpics/files/...ef9pabwmgv.jpg What a problem??? Not interact with the Windows Firewall!!! #2) Could not be removed from the setup.exe of the firewall settings? Not necessary, because the retail version worked perfectly without touching my firewall on! #3) The route can rewrite (C:\MaxPayne3 default to C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Max Payne 3) Please help me competent!!! edit: version is 1.0.0.22 (THETA crack) |
Quote:
you need to copy the profile to your documents i think in social club folder and |
Quote:
edit: What is interesting is that the retail version does not require you set it out in the RGSC to Corrupt License... THETA version I tested, and no interaction with either the Windows firewall and allows my existing account. But if I use this version 4xDVD5, Corrupted License, which I link to an image. Of course, both version 1.0.0.22. So this is now stuck (4xDVD5)...:( |
the data1 is 4.7 gb
|
can you update your setup file for 1.0.0.29
|
Dear Peter, can we keep using your "MP3_v.1.0.0.22.7z" procedure to keep updating game's conversion with new updates? I've used it to make data3.bin for v1.0.0.29 but I don't know for sure if I can rely on it.
Thanks as always! :) |
Hi peter,
i'm having problem to run the game after the 4xdvd5 conversion has been made. the dvd9 installation works fine, even i update the files from 1.0.0.17-v1.0.0.29. i already tried re-encoding it 6 times (5-8hrs max encoding time) but when i try to install the 4xdvd5 & run the game i always end up with the no connection error even without integrated updates. do you think there something wrong with the conversion process? do you have any idea how to fix it? thanks for sharing another wonderful work :) |
no connection error has NOTHING to do with conversion process. It does have everything to do with the cracks your applying, and wether or not youve applied them correctly + installed pre-requisite software for game to run.
|
i'm wondering why everytime i install dvd9 it always work fine. if you uninstall the game, only the game files will be removed not the dx & other stuff,
when i tried to install the 4xdvd5 and everything in the selection it always end up with the no connection error. i already updated the game files to the latest version 1.00.29, i also install the mp3 launcher & the social club updates & copy the profile in rockstar games\social club in my documents. blocked the outgoing playmaxpayne3, maxpayne3 & copy & paste the fix file in the game directory b4 running the game but still the same result no connection error that's why i'm thinking the problem is coming from the converted dvds. when i uninstall the converted dvds & install the dvd9 right away the game works fine again & the connection error is gone. do u still think it has nothing to do with the conversion process? i already tried installing converted dvds nearly 10x always same result. thanks in advance. |
ok, you've updated past the 1.00.22 that peters posted ( post #60 ) so MAYBE it has something to do with an update past 1.00.22. since your installing update 1.00.29. Not sure since peter hasnt updated topic with lastest game update?
was just throwing out suggestions. |
first try of conversion i updated to 1.0.0.17-22-28-29 then reencode the maxpayne3
the 2nd dvd exceeded the dvd5 size so i started again the conversion from update 10017-10022, all the conversion fits dvd5. then i started installing the converted dvds then i started to see the connection error. i imediately uninstall the converted dvd & try the dvd9, the dvd9 installation works fine. i started to re-encode again with only 10017 update and integrate the fix file in the conversion, same connection error found. the nxt move i did reencode again and only integrate 10017 no fix file same result again. last conversion i did is reencode only the dvd9 contents no updates or whatsoever the result is same no connection error again. but everytime i tried the dvd9 the game works fine. right now i'm installing dvd9 & the converted dvds MP3 in 2 different drives then i will compare all the files to see if they're identical. thanks ok here's result, the dvd9 & 4xdvd5 installed in 2 different drives works fine. i tried to export their registry settings to see if there's a difference in two MP3. the dvd9 has this extra key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Rockstar Games] "Installed Applications"="1" i deleted the registry settings made by 4xdvd5 and import the one from dvd9, i just change the program path for the 4xdvd5. then i run both games, they worked just fine & the no connection error are gone. the nxt thing i did is uninstall maxpayne3 in the control panel. there are 2 maxpane3 in the list now, i forgot to look at the registry to see which one is dvd9. then i moved the dvd9 maxpayne in other directory to prevent the uninstall of dvd9, then i uninstall 1 of the maxpayne3. maybe the one i have left is the 4xdvd5 maxpayne3. then i uninstall again the 2nd maxpayne3. i moved back to program files rockstar games again the dvd9 version then import the registry settings from dvd9, i just change again the path to match the maxpayne3 location & now the dvd9 version has the no connection error now. i was thinking that the original dvd9 has a file that's not included in the 4xdvd5 conversion, so when u uninstall the dvd9 it will also affect the 4xdvd5. right now i just want to know the complete uninstall list of the dvd9 maxpayne3, maybe it would help to fix that issue. is there anyone who could tell me where to find it? thanks in advance :) |
Hey peterf1999
First of all thx for this conversion. It works fine for me (also with patch 1.0.0.28). But i have a small suggestion for the german setup. http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg841...ng&res=landing The grammar in this setup section is wrong for german. Correct its like this Quote:

Max Payne 3
v.1.0.0.17-v.1.0.0.22 to v.1.0.0.29 1) Install the game from one of previous conversions (v.1.0.0.17 or v.1.0.0.22) and then update the game to latest v.1.0.0.29 2) Extract 'MP3_v.1.0.0.29.7z' contents (not in game folder) 3) Launch Data_3_5.bat & wait... 4) Use the new Setup.exe, Data3.bin & Data5.bin that you just created Note: You can also do the conversion from retail discs installation too, and then update to v.1.0.0.29, using the conversion on the first post, but you have to use the setup.exe included in this archive and re-create all archive files (Data1.bin, Data2.bin...). |

Kind Regards and thanks in advance! |
@Onizuka87k
It was a joke:D @elbubi The game works even without updating the registry entries( v1.0.0.22), however the setup.exe (v.1.0.0.29) is better, if you want to waste a dvd, re-burn the 1st one :D |
Thanks for your answer Peter.
I just wanted to be sure that all files/folders from v1.0.0.29 updated game were taken into consideration by first post conversion. Glad to hear they actually are. Kindest Regards! |
