OK, if the new patch is confirmed working for those that previously had problems then this thread can be closed. I'll wait to see what people post about first!

Well, the copy protection was removed. No need for cracks for the new patch. No conflicts with any codecs either. Played almost the whole night and had no crashes.

If there is going to be no copy protection on the current and future patches then this thread is not needed as there will be no need to make a backup!

Any objections before it gets closed?

The New Community Patch (1.5.2) would be remove all protections!

OK, so all future Gothic III community patches will remove the copy protection so this thread will be locked.

Problems with future community patches can be posted in the General Gaming forum or JoWoods forum as it won't be a copy protection issue!
