u must rename the .xml file to .ndz then u can download the mini image with file grabber or anything like that....

What i dont understand it why the FULL IMAGE wont start the game and i get an error !

well i tried everything .1 made image with alchool mounted it with daemon tools 4 then activated prot stop 1.0 and nothing
after that made an image with alchool x4x5 protected and programed cure rom and coordinated to l:mad: unch with the starwars.exe file and run the daemon so i made the command activate pro stop and run the command and nothing it makes error and i have to restart
well if anyone know something like: 1 what kind of image i have to make with alchool or what kind of program, emulator etc i have to download plz tell me
i would be very thankfull

for me this little tool was the solution...nothing else worked (Anti-Blah,SecuStop usw.) so I tryed AntiSecuROM! Even works with FEAR 1.03:D
(of course mounting the image with Dt 4.03)

hi, tried this still with no joy. in DT did u set secrurom emu on or off? also did u point antisecur to launcheaw.exe or sweaw.exe? thanks :)

Meanwhile Grab the 1.02 patch...

Now listen
Grab the patch and apply it...
After that mount the FULL image i think you all have made by now using DT403 with all emulation options on.
Then use the AntiSecurerom and as exe file choose the sweaw.exe which is in the GAMEDATA folder.
Thats it...

What I did:
1)close Daemon tools and have no virtual drives
2) open curerom lite and enable it
3) run Daemon tools with every emulation anabled and mount ure image ( I use full image)
4) open antisecurom and choose the sweaw.exe file
5) play the game

the weird thing is that it doenst always work somethimes I have to try it a few times to kick in
and I can't start the game if I apply the new 1.2 patch even if I try it several times

ps: does anyone know where the game stores the savegames? thnx

Works for me. The first time the game says original disc could not be found or outenthicated. Try again and its starts after 30sec.

Gamejackal worked for me, tried DT and all the other processes, GJ allowed me to remove the image file and save some space.

This method worked for me. As opposed to the method I posted earlier. It worked twice I think, then didn't. Now I'm sure this method will fail me and the old one work again.. maybe after reboot.. I dunno wtf to say about all this trouble :o

tried several time with 3 different image types 1 made i alchool another made in win iso and another made in blindwrite
i started dowloading the image so tomorrow i will post what happened:eek:

I just mounted the image with DT and ran SecuRom using the sweaw in game data. That worked for me twice then I started getting the "original disc could not be found or authenticated" message. I didn't patch the game or anything, it worked earlier today but tonight it just stopped working. I searched the forums and this seemed to happen to a lot of people. Any ideas on why this happens? I don't think it could be the image because it wouldn't have worked at all if it was a bad image. I tried it ten times and figured if it was going to work it would work one of those times, but it didn't. Can the program somehow get "smarter" and figure out there is no disc? I guess I'm back to using the original disc until someone figures this out.

I just did the following steps
Install game
Install patch 1.2
Install Daemon Tools 4.03
Unpack Sweat_mini_image to starwars empire at war\gamedata folder
Mount the image with Daemon tools and turn on all emulation selections
If game starts, close it
Install Curerom 1.31
Start Curerom, and input this:
Options, third party virtual, select Daemon tools and exe file
Application, select SWEAW file in gamedata folder. click next
Image mounting software, select I do not want to use any virtual. click next
make shortcut name {sweaw} and click next
save and finish
With image mounted via Daemon, run sweaw shortcut made from Curerom to play
started and closed the game 5 times, then played a few skirmishes and no probs

finnaly it worked
 

i didnt sleep at last but i make it works
i downloaded the image mounte with cure rom made mounted it with d tools and put 20 seconds and the options to mount and unmount atomatically
then i closer everything and then y started the command i created
at first put me the error i described before: original cd could not been outenthicated but then i tried again and in the third time it worked

i will repeat this proces a few times more and then i will post again

good morning from german - with 7 gold medalls on our hands ;)

so for me this solution works fine :
- login as user WITH Admin rights
- start Deamon 4.03 and mount the mini image
- run Prot.Stop 1.0 -hide-
NOW :
- change user -> login as user with user rights
- start the game :)

i must do it this way, cause i ever get an error msg from securom protected games like : "A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed." - thats it, why i normaly start securom games as "normal user"

in my case, the mini image works with mounting in DT and open sweaw.exe with AntiSecurom. Emulation in DT RMPS. Works. Is Easy. Is Fast. :)

After trying all other methods, this one is the one that worked. But I installed the whole game, then use the mini-image to mount in DAEMON. And I also updated to 1.2. But it works finally. Thanks alot:)

I don't see what the trouble is with this. Apparently not everyone out there has the ability to make a 1:1 backup copy anymore? I have a sony dvd/cdrw combo drive - the original cd's work fine, and the 'backup cd's work fine for me. I don't run alcohol 120 or daemon tools. Frankly, if you have a CD, and you have a backup of that cd, I'd much rather have the space on my hard drive than fragment and trash a system with image files. But then I only have 260GB over 3 hard drives to play with.

Securom doesn't work with all DVD/CD drives - Toshiba's models have trouble with it, and it sucks that some paying customers have those drives that are incompatible. Solution? Either get Securom to modify their protection for better compatibility, or get Toshiba to update their incompatible firmware. Or, third option, get a drive that works.

After times of failure. I finally made it.

1) Install CureROM 1.31
1) Mount the image with daemon tools 4.03. All emulations ON!!
2) Run CureROM LITE!!! and click ENABLE!!
4) Run the game.

Works well for me :D

I have been watching this thread with interest as i am also having problems getting Star Wars Empire At War working, however, i seem to have a different problem to everyone else (isn't that always the way).

I have installed the game, but whenever i run sweaw.exe i get:

'A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed.'

This is even when i don't have daemon tools running (or any other image software)!

Could it be picking anything else up as a potential problem, or because i had d-tools running the first time i tried it, it has decided i have tried to use an image and not won't unlock the .exe?

I've tried almost every thing to make the game work including disabling by REAL DVD-ROM (just from the device manager) used cureROM but strangly the game WORKED ONLY THE FIRST TIME i used cureROM then it kinda knew what i was doing :D & a different message came out, something like:
"Original disk couldn't be found or authenticated" not the "emulation detected" error
I'm still trying to make it work, didnt give up yet :confused:

buy the german collectors edition.. it works for me with all sounds and everything..I only used the the image mounted it with deamon tools 4.03 and than I started the game with securom_loader...

I have the exact same problem, but even when removing Alcohol and DT4 and playing from the original disk, I still get the error! Very disappointing!

I have seen "AntiSecurom" mentioned several times, but I am not sure what it is. Doesn't seem to be available at GameCopyWorld, and a web search didn't help either.
Can someone guide me in the right direction please?
