You have obviously bought into the German propaganda. Of course German tiger tanks had a very powerful main gun and was heavily armored. The drawbacks to that was the tanks speed, slowed down heavily by the armor. The engine broke down alot due to the performance required to transport the weight around. Heavy need for gasoline due to weight again. Everything about the tank required that it take a long time for the tank to actually be produced.

American tanks had their drawbacks also, mainly their light armor. Many American tanks were not meant to go up directly against heavy armored German tanks. They were mainly meant as infantry support vehicles.

Tank destroyers were meant for fighting the German tanks but the TD's were lightly armored and easily taken out. Nearing the end of the war, Americans began producing more heavily armored tanks to counter the common German tanks out on the line, such as the PIV.

Yes, many new inventions came from the war. Rocket Science, artificial oil, and many other advances in technology.

Also helped America get out of the depression.

Since I didn't live when the seconds world war was raging, I couldn't be influenced by their propaganda ;o) I just stick to the historical facts that, for example, the Tiger Tank was the most successful piece of armor at the time. If you believe these sources are valid, then take a look at:

I wasn't saying that all you said was wrong, I was just stating points that the tank is not what everyone believes. That is, it's not a fully invincible piece of machinery. I know about the MG42, it is a good weapon.

Ok, back to topic. Now that 1.3 is out, is it more complicated to crack now then 1.2?

Does anyone know how to get the SH3 to think that the image of the real cd is the actual DVD? (with Deamon tools) Is there a crack?

SH3 is a very, very good game and really needs the attention of the crackers so that we could at least patch it to 12/13 to rid us of the bugs.

still waiting to get the "mod"...Just read about your WWII posts... The inventions of that time were really great, only sad they were made to kill people. We still have to "pay" in all kind for the crimes of our forefathers.
Anyway, i`m not really into updateing games, will i have to install ALL updates to get 1.3 (1.1+1.2, then 1.3)?

1.3 will give you all the updates that are in previous 2 patchs- BUT some people a reporting of no sonar operations in 1.3-beware!!

Pheew, just saw the countless bugs. after i read the reports, i decided not to install any patches. Well, at least not 1.3 It seems to me, there are more bugs in the game after updateing to 1.3 then before?! :eek: There are surely nice features, but its not worth to lose other essential features,like the WO or the SO...
By the way, my only trouble is, after ending the game my system likes to crash. Before i cleaned my pc, it crashed during the mission...thought i could fix it with a patch, but it seems to be a local error on my system.

Hi all.Now after receiving a valid cd key i tried the mini image of Gcw.
It doesnt works. After typing the cd key, which it was accepted, it told me it has a problem to verify the Disk. The same i tried with panzers. With panzers it works!!!
I used just to know Sh3 v.1.0.
Also blocking. Port Royale, Panzer 1.6, both works, just Sh3 doesnt.
Someone who really come to the end and played the game?

just wanted to say that there is a little backdoor someone discovered. It has something to do with a registry-file and it somewhat fools around with starf...

anyway, I now am past the CD-Key-verification my question is whether there is a chance I can get SH3 to accept the mini-image as the real DVD. BDW: how is SFNightmare and its sister supposed to work?
what good does it do, to disable the real CD-ROM-drives?

Can I somehow create a valid image of my original DVD?

i meanwhile got SFN working and voila, he stopped telling me to insert the disc to another drive
now he gives me a read-error...

but hey, when I right-click on my virtual CD-ROM-drive and ask for properties he tells me that the mounted mini image has a real size of 60kb or so...

c'est tres bizarre...

Oh, I almost forgot: I don't own a USB-HD, but if I did, how should I use it?

hey guys i am very sorry to interrupt u with all your talk but i feel (and i am ) a total noob with all the how u call it mini-image stuff and all the alcohol burining at the lowest speed and with stuff activated and all....well i am really lost...all i know is using daemon tools and alcohol and u know...mounting images..thats it....so u know i really like SH3 i think that game is awesome and i really want to play it without the cd method...i got the cd key, like u said u can only help if i got the cd key.... so please PM me and teach me how to use all that stuff and all....like u know a dude posted here about a working method...well i would like to understand what he wrote.... so pm me if u want or can

Guys don't shoot if i say any crap, but first listen.
What if someone could modify registry.dat so that when the game asks for a cd key and we write the code they guy before said it won't mention any "authority" problems e.t.c. Or what about someone could upload an original dvd mini-image???
