My second conversion that uses CIUv2.0.4 is much better cuz it installs directly.
no need for merging files as UltraARC does. files are directly extracted.
plus conversion is by default in English only. No changes are needed for this language.

well i for example have the Ultraarc one but for BD-Rs which also install directly, with no merging at all (really love what you can do with UltraArc based conversions without asking the conv maker for help and without messing with filelists).

Would also love just the modified UA setup (with smaller eng-only HDD req) , if you still have the source code for it as its one line change?

Done!!!!!!!!

If I would like a complete backup, then I have to modify and create a new lst, haven't I?

No need for that!!
Use the one with UltraARC. UltraARC will split the game for you!
Just Cause 3 (Eng-54gb) UltraARC.rar

Ok but is there something that doesn't merge the files?

GTX590 01-02-2019 11:12

You mean a DiskSpan version.
I must redo the conversion with CIUv3.0.0 that handles DiskSpan but I'm really busy these days.

Is that hard to do?

Ah, I love you.

I mean, like a nerd can love another one.

Edit: but... what about disk size? I don't want to fill a dvd5 till the very last line, I need something like 4300 not 4480. (I'll edit .ini maybe?.)

Aaaaaaaaand:
Methods Types Available:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
[0] No Compression
[1] SREP + LZMA
[2] SREP + 4x4:LZMA
[3] SREP + LZMA2
[4] SREP + LOLZ
[5] SREP + ZSTD
[6] xZLib + SREP + LZMA
[7] xZLib + SREP + LOLZ
[8] xLZ4 + SREP + LZMA
[9] xLZ4 + SREP + LOLZ
[10] xLZO + SREP + LZMA
[11] xLZO + SREP + LOLZ
[12] xZSTD + SREP + LZMA
[13] xZSTD + SREP + LOLZ
[14] xOodle + SREP + LZMA
[15] xOodle + SREP + LOLZ
[16] xCrilayla + SREP + LZMA
[17] xCrilayla + SREP + LOLZ
[18] Custom Compression

Too much to choose from, should I go with n.1?

Use [6] or [7] because this game use zlib compression (best output size).

Exe returns error:
Sorting matc 10.0% Second pas 1 10.0%
ERROR! Can't write to output file (disk full?)
10.0%
Errorlevel=3
10.0%
ERROR: general (de)compression error in srep:m3f

Unless it uses the disk he's reading on.

pakrat2k2 02-02-2019 06:56

just make sure the disk you're running the diskspan from has planty of HD freespace.
if you dont want a full dvd5 then change the 4480 to what you want.

GrafSchmidt 04-02-2019 10:19

I've changed the disk size in the diskpan.bat and ultraarc.ini, it still creates a 4.37 gb disk size :|.

Edit: ok it worked but now it doesn't want to install, it returns error on corrupted archive.

Edit2: compression problems, probably n.6 is lossy.

Stveboss 21-02-2021 20:10

Done this one "File Type: rar Just Cause 3 (Eng-54gb) UltraARC.rar" and got a dead 35gb file from a 60gb install with all DLCS in it and few bonus items and took around two hours to do along with two the others and the three witcher games all at same time.
