no necesarily pictures, but list what the filesize for each cabfile should end up at. That way if someone has an error then they can compare what they ended up with, to what it should be.

Sichi 23-03-2012 12:19

yeah yeah yeah yeah!!! i got it!!!
my solution for this problem is:
don't compress the Data1.cab omg hahahhahahaha
Make Data1.cab but don't compress it and the installation will complete without any problems!! (for me)

Thanks a lot all for give me her help ^^

BAMsE 23-03-2012 13:01

Sichi good to hear that :) I've noticed it several times that sometimes archives done with -m4 method stucks but I don't know why

THADEADMAN2011 23-03-2012 17:39

I don't know if anyone has noticed but in the setup ini file under install options it says
Publisher=Remedy Enternaiment
when it should say Publisher=Remedy Entertainment
i did the conversion not realizing this an it just sat there
but once i figured it out and also changed the compression on data1 file
as Sichi stated and all went smooth

pakrat2k2 23-03-2012 18:39

good eye on the spelling typo ;)

THADEADMAN2011 23-03-2012 21:24

i always keep a good eye where things install on my system
thats when i noticed the wrong folder name
as i just recently redid my pc and only have 3 games installed atm lol

I encountered same problem as @Sichi.
May I suggest that you change step 5's compression from Normal to No Compression or to High Compression? Even if you set higher tier of compression, it does not matter too much because initial .cab file is not that big. Decompression of that archive is not taking long.

Works with both of those, and as someone else wrote, Normal sometimes tends to fu*k things up. I encountered same problem with Arkham City. Installation was bugging out until I changed .cab's compression level from normal to something else.

hellrazor

step5

146mb(incl nodvd)....after compress 94 mb...then it fits..
No compression: -m0 not fits DVD5

Put higher compression then? I'm saying this for greater good.
Tried 4 times on normal and installation always gets stuck on same place.

I compressed it under High: -m7 -md96m -ld192m and it worked.
As I already mentioned, those are small files and decompressing is not a problem with that compression level.

i tested and it didnt make any issues, whatever i changed the conversion you dont need to compress anything in step 5 ;)
